Haven't flown it yet. Was planning on going out on the first, but it was 27 degrees and raining. Also, I still haven't found a good flying field close-by. I do have an idea for a place to check out that isn't too far, though. Hopefully soon. I'll be glad when the days get longer and I will have some time after work to fly.

OK, doing some searching in another window, and I think this mystery is solved. Acuity is an insurance company that also makes kites, apparently. Thanks for the replies, guys. I figured the lines probably are not spectra, but fingers crossed. Is there even a way to positively identify the type of line? I have Spectra line to compare it to, but of coarse that will only tell me if it's obviously different. The straps are different from the prism straps, so it would stand to reason that the lines are, too, but the winder does look like a prism winder, so who knows. I'll compare it to my Snapshot 1.4 when I get it. BTW, not sure which price you're seeing, but I got it for only $22 shipped! I figured it was definitely worth the risk for that much. And I just love the stars and stripes.

Can we post embedded/hosted images here? It seems to be an option, at on point while I was trying, it (the site) even said it was going to do it automatically, but every time I try I just get a link. It's very possible I'm just doing something wrong, but the usual ways don't seem to be working for me.

Hi guys. Anyone heard of an Acuity 1.2 sped foil? I just bought one really cheap off ebay. I got to looking at it, and it appears to be virtually identical in design to the Prism Snapshot 1.2, although it does look like some materials may be different.

That's kind of what I was thinking about when I asked if you had the "handles" connected, but I see what you're saying now. Just thinking out loud here, but what about a small bar? Similar to a power kite, but a small one-handed one with just enough length to have adequate steering input.
