SKD looks like top of the line stuff. 30 kmh/18mph not enough. But then 15 mph on the Widow drags me a bit laughing my hind end off. Maybe by the airports Justin. Lots a trees in Houston. Starting to really feel the difference between the inputs of the Widow ng. Night hawk and Addiction. Gaining control over all 3 pretty well. Beginning to understand the feed back from the kites. Widow and Nighthawk pretty similar. Addiction a lot different. After reading reviews and mod info thought the Addiction at this point would be number 3 or gone. It's my fav so far. In talking to Jon T about modding the kite he gave me the rundown on the kite and it just clicked. The kite doesn't over steer or become twitchy unless inputs are not precise. It's quick and very responsive. Out of the 3 the most forgiving , easiest to correct and hardest to break. When reading about hand positioning and the importance of wrist movement that's when I started to connect to the kite. It's a freaking blast!! Had an 8 year old grand daughter out today on the foil, Widow and Addiction for a few hours until wind left. She took to it like a duckling to a mud puddle. It took me over 20 times to slack the lines in a crash. Her dad with my help and a big stick 11. Her 4 . On 1 flight she nose dived from top center figured out she was going to crash threw slack and ran forward. Kite did 4 roll ups and settled to the ground. She's screaming what do I do, what do I do and I'm screaming I don't know I don't know. Great fun. Asked her why she liked the Addiction best. Slightly uncomfortable she said it kinda talked to me. 2 of her cousins 6 and 10 said the same thing in the same circumstances . Loving this kite folks. As I get better I know the other 2 will become as much fun in their own way. I do good at flying around learning the window, cornering and such on the Nighthawk and Addiction. As soon as I get the Widow up it's like all common sense goes out the window. Gotta try and trick it sigh. Know It's gonna break again can't help it. Grand kids coming Sunday are 4,6,6,7 and 9. They have a Vision and another Addiction. Hopefully Sunday this part of Colorado will have much Addiction in the air. The good kind.Your kind Think I'm addicted to the Addiction

My bad it's the Rev 2 vented. Description is smaller faster and twitchier. Stated wind range 6 to 35 mph.

Went to that vendor looking for the SF 2.5 vented but already gone and the Zephyr was such a good deal couldn't pass up. Hows the sidewinder Justin? Iv'e read that the Zephyr is designed to remove tail weight and upper spreader for low wind. Have to tie 1/4 and 1/2 additional knots on low wind nose adjustment. Don't know when produced yet. Maybe new tweaks added since older posts. Took upper spreader out on Addiction because it's the lowest wind kite for now. Flex was bad and popped LE c clip. Won't do it again. Read that putting a 2 pt lower spreader and 4 mm upper with end caps gives better result on Zephyr. Going to get that set from K&FT when PDSUL is done. Unless a bunch of ya'll say waste of money. Makes sense theoretically but.

Been looking at a new Rev 1 vented with handles for $125.00 shipped. Fear the dark side cause I know I'll get four more before I learn to fly the darn thing. Like I'm doing with dual lines right now. 6 to 35 mph is what I'm looking for. Doubt I'll be out in more than 30. Only dual that makes sense for my next kite is the Fearless Std vented. There is a huge price gap. My Micron can cover the high winds for now. Problem is in 3 hours of learning to fly it it's been in the air less than 1/2 hour !! What a hoot. Learned a lot watching that thing flip around the prairie. For the cost I highly recommend for newbies . $50.00 a month in piggy bank and by Oct can get anything. Where the Rev is $33.00 for a new Micron. Goal for this year, learn to fly and get a Fearless. Open to suggestions and education on any vented kite under $10,000.00 .

Depressing he crashes less than I do. Started to change clothes cause I was sure it was the jeans. Then I realized I don't have those kind of genes .

The last 2 days of no wind has been very hard on the wallet. Although I have not followed advice of flying OPK think I might be okay. Iv'e got a PDSUL in flo green and Zephyr inferno on the way. Fantastic deal on Zephyr $126.00 rtf with 90 lb 100 foot line plus a pair of finger straps at $3.00 brand spanking new. .Many thanks to the guy that pointed the deal out to me !!! PDSUL goes without saying .Should have winds covered 0 to 8 PDSUL, 4 to 12 Zephyr, 6 to 15 Widow ng. Snapshot 1.4, 6 to 20 but that's for zooming. So next upon my ocd addled brain is 15 to 25. Hq line from Stormy Pete to Frazers look cool and Elliots Jet Stream also but I still want to trick on window edges. Okay learn to trick on windows edge . Going to build a Faux C so those types should be covered until I build a better kite. Did I ever say how glad I am that I got the Snapshot before a Lycose 1.2. I'm stupid enough to fly the lycose in 35 mph trying for 100 mph. I think that kite needs an experienced pilot. So the hunt for the vented begins . At least this addiction isn't life threatening unless from someones irritated spouse. Maybe this is where Krijn, Lam and those euro folks come into play (pardon the pun).

I like that aerosport. Got flo green ordered. If kite was multi colored would add flo pink go figure. If I don't like it you may have another green kite. Don't count on it though .

Thanks for the offer .Won't be able to wait that long . Had some issues with my Nighthawk that I posted at GWTW. Maybe an excuse to call Kites and Fun Things earlier than planned LOL. Still love to see your kites though.

Had to go to the city yesterday to shop. Got a brilliant idea. Made a sign Pro Dancer wanted and taped it to my back. Proceeded to shop and had 3 women and a guy try to hand me let's party cards. After much explanation and many dirty looks I removed the sign. Sigh it's amazing how rude you can be without even meaning to. Got home whipped out the Widow wind lessened. Got out the Addiction wind died. Man I need a Pro Dancer ( kite ) !!!

Don't want to sound boastful but it is a little. Started adding up what I have invested in this sport so far. From going to get a nice little HQ to now more than one. All these were bought brand new. Prisms Snapshot 1.4, micron, Premiers , Jewel, Addiction, Nighthawk and Widow ng. Invested $233.50. If your new here or just passing thru egads that much money on kites or how many for so little? Read, read, read these forums and learn. It's these folks preaching patience get the best you can afford find a deal and grow into the kite for better or worse LOL. Woke up last night and started researching the Soul again.Then I'd go back to that serene photo of the Dancer waiting in the meadow. Fantastic price for what I think is a great kite from reading only(the Soul). Would've been a huge mistake on my part.My Widow ng will take me to the same place. They say it competes with the Benson and Skyburner. If those 2 kites were for sale at that price even before price drop doubt they would have been for sale long. Got up this morning ready to order PDSUL. Remembered Jon T said call back 2nd week of Jan. Sigh PATIENCE. The Kiaju will be called Mothra just because. Even a Lam at full price is a heckuva good deal when you compare cost to fun. Ya'll think I blather now wait till next week when I get my 1st sail cut .
