Hmmm....maybe there is a place, but I missed it? I know you are away...away away...right now, but just had this thought. There are many clubs; local, regional, national, across borders, across the seas...... and I was looking for an area to post 'club' stuff...you know...gossip, news, happenings, classes, gossip, potlucks, things that clubs organize and get together to do, other than just Fun Fly's. What do ya think??? Or just point me in the right direction if it's already there! Thanks! T

Welcome to the 4M! I hope you get lots of replies to your question! All the Kites you have mentioned....are all very good choices...and all can be found for under your $ target too. Of the 3, I always have the Ozone and the JIBTB Light in the bag. If you like Level One... ....you might also want to check out the Amazing. Great zero wind kite...we had it out and up this past Sunday...no wind...and High humidity! Full size kite, yet floats light a feather. I'm not one to have to 'work' a kite in zero wind...rather wait for the wind to do it! In that regard...I like at least 2MPH for the Oz and JBL.... but I'm an old grandma...and lazy to boot! What a gorgeous day! Very light winds though, was wishing we had the SUL Shiva's already! Got to fly the SUL Nirvana and the Level One Amazing. That kite truly reflects it's name! Amazing! We had 0 to 1MPH...and both kites were awesome. Scott had no obstructions, for his 360'! No tables in the vacinity

Hey all! The best thing about a Fun Fly sometimes, is the Fun part! Fly? Some of us prefer to have a bit of wind....and lacking that, I have Fun visiting, looking at what kites everybody brings, munching on the goodies, chatting, checking out more kites, sitting and chatting some more....wondering where the wind is....ejoying the beautiful scenery, watching the ships go by, visiting with good friends...Fly?...hmmmmm........ Well, Moon....at least we had no rain!!!! I want to thank everyone for such a great turn out yesterday! Wind or no wind, it was a great day! Theresa

I for one, sure appreciate having KiteLife available for information, contacts, sources, photos, videos, and in general...a great place for Kiters...from far and wide....to gather! Thank you John, for continuing this dream! Now...I missed getting Ray Bethell's video downloaded and saved on my computer. I didn't get a chance to show it to my 86 year old mom...who thinks she's too old to do anything! I am patient, and can wait till October....when John has space to upload it again. I got to visit with Charley on Saturday! Was a fun day! Although we were bidding on the same kite for a while....I let him win! I knew I already had the 'real' one, in my box Got some pics of it yesterday. I will have to try and figure out how to post them. Very cool kite, Charley! Just love those sail colors! he he.... I think I'm registered now at the classified site....and got a password and can go there now....just haven't done it yet.... Very reasonable and cheap to advertise! I think Charley said just 2 bucks? Seems I have an extra two nights at Seaside, that I will not be needing. I can just cancel it, OR...since the place is sold out for the weekend, and weekend time is hard to get now, see if some responsible, caring, kiter without a roof for the weekend is interested? This is a 2 Bedroom condo, complete kitchen and 2 full baths. Stones throw from the comp field. The condo building, is just to the south of the turnaround, across from the Shilo. Didn't see a topic started for this....maybe it's already somewhere, and I missed it....BUT...it should be posted here in the Events 4M! I just got us registered for the convention!! Too easy....one phone call and Scott and I are registered and ready to go! A whole week of KITES!!! Yippeee!!!! Get your registrations in, before the next jump in $$ on Sept 23rd! Save your $20 for spending at the convention! Now...who all is going?? Let's get some chatter going!! Plus....AKA needs help and volunteers, throughout the week. Let's make an effort and pitch in and make sure this is one heck of a convention to remember! Theresa
