  1. Hi Alan! Scott and I were talking about it, and we have a Wren to donate to the cause! Also, we have some Flexifoil line sets to bring along for the bag raffle as well. Some of them retail for about $28, so a .50 cent ticket is a great deal for the winner. Hope you sell LOTS of tickets!! Question...do you need to be present during the drawing to be a winner?? See you soon! T
  2. UNFORTUNATELY, someone forgot to renew the www.honkernet.net domain with network services... and threw out the emails they sent as SPAM HAHA who was that.... MY BAD.. sorry about the confusion.. that is one of those hosting boo boos you make every 6-10 years right JOHN? Alan, are you having a Bag Raffle?? T
  3. Hope you can make it Dave. We'll drive to Arlington Saturday morning. Off topic: does your flight on Thursday connect up with the rest for the gang at PDX? Theresa
  4. Looks like it was just updated on January 16th, 2006: http://www.worldsportkite.com/contestants.htm
  5. Yep, that's it! Tell Dave to take the Mill Plain Eastbound exit off of I-5. Turn right at the bottom of the off ramp. Get over to the left lane. At the light (Ft. Vancouver Way) turn left. Go to the next light and turn left again. See the Marshall rec center on your left. If you pass it, you will be going under I-5! We'll talk more tonight about your ride and accomodations..... We have 5 in our rig already for Windless.....Scott, me, Sierra and Tinkhams. But we do have a 2 BD condo....thought we had a one BD.....So let's see if we can figure this out!!! Talk more tonight! T ps....bringing a pole tonight for Dave to play with!
  6. That's where we'll be!! See you soon! Theresa
  7. Chris, You're more than welcome to post the question at http://www.thekiteshoppe.com/phpBB2/index.php Lot's of flyers from the NW, some of which fly at Ocean Shores, read there as well. We'll be there March 31st for the whole weekend. Hope the rain isn't horizontal! Have fun! Theresa
  8. John, can't we talk about it here? By the way.....Welcome Home!!! Great job on the coverage! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow! The Kite Shoppe made a decision last year....well before any hurricanes or change in management at KTAI, to not attend the 2006 convention. Several factors and evaluation led us to that decision. Mr. Gomberg, as well as others on the BOD, have asked us why and what can they do to re-evaluate the trade show. We have complete faith in David, gave him our proxy, hoping that they come up with a plan that focuses more on kiting. However, we are a minority, as to what we retail.....which is serious kites. So maybe our concerns don't matter. One can only hope for the best. Time will tell. Theresa
  9. We'll be heading to Ocean Park Friday, leaving Vancouver as soon as school is out, so guessing we'll get there approx 5pm. I think the gym will be open Friday evening. We have Thai food on the agenda too! Remember that little Thai place we ate at? Yummmmmmmm!!!!! Bringing some UFO's too! See you next weekend!! T
  10. I didnt say I know very much... just kidding Awesome website, wish more people knew about it.. they wouldnt be wasting so much time on other forums asking questions all frustrated and clueless. Just a one stop hop to information! Merry Christmas to ALL! Thank you John, for all you do!! Love you! T
  11. OK....after further discussion here at The Kite Shoppe...... We decided to go ahead and just reserve the space and pay for the use of the gym. Where: Marshall Center Vancouver, WA http://www.cityofvancouver.us/parks-recrea...ns/marshall.htm Date: Thursday, January 12th, 2006 Time: 7:30pm to 9pm Bring Kites!!! Please call The Kite Shoppe for more information, directions, questions...... 1-360-695-9646 Theresa
  12. Ah shucks.... I thought I found a good deal. Most gym time rental rates we have inquired about want $$. The Deaf School around the corner from The Kite Shoppe is $6 an hour, but you have to reserve the janitor also, at $30 an hour with a minimum of 2 hours. That makes it $72 for 2 hours. I'll keep looking........ T
  13. Update.... Times available are now 7:30pm to 9pm...... Less time to fly, but less $$$ too...... T
  14. Well, not in Portland, but I think I have found us a place in Vancouver. I just talked with the staff at The Marshall Center and it is possible to reserve gym space there. It looks like it books up pretty fast though. Right now, the only thing available is Thursday, January 11th from 5:30pm to 9pm. The cost is $25 per hour. So......if we do 6-9pm, for 3 hours @ $75......we'd only need 7 1/2 bodies to cover the cost at $10 each. Here's where it's located: http://www.cityofvancouver.us/parks-recrea...ns/marshall.htm What do you think? I can call back and reserve it and pay for it, if enough folks are interested. By the way John...this would be the Thursday right before we go to Long Beach on Friday. Good time for a warming up of the routine! T
  15. Moon!! I see you're back on line and connected! How was the drive??? PM me your new e-mail address!! Miss ya! T
  16. And it's even Autographed!! Wish we'd taken a picture of it, while it was at The Shoppe! T
  17. Gosh, where have I been! I just saw Issue 45! John, question...... in a thread up above, it says Discuss the Issues. But I don't see 45 there yet? I know you have been very busy! Missed seeing you today! Maybe tomorrow? If not, weather permitting, we may hit the field on Sunday. We can bring your box of goodies. Hugs to you! T
