  3. Scott, How's this going? Any volunteers yet? Sorry I wasn't much help when we talked on the phone Good Luck! Theresa
  4. Hey Andrew!!! I've missed you!!! And look at you...your first post here!! Welcome! Hope to see more of you real soon! If you can't be on the field for now, at least you can still type and make posts. Get to it! Good luck in the drawing! T
  5. Hi David! You might try going a bit north, to Kirkland, and drop down to the waterfront. There is a nice park along the north end of Lake Washington. Nice sandy shoreline. However...could have lots of people there too Bellevue is kinda boxed in with buildings and trees and hills..... Good Luck! Theresa
  6. And then there's the Nighthawk to consider as well The yo-yo stoppers on the leading edge keep the fly line from sliding down the leading edge. Some kites have a roll up cage....if the kite is rolled up multiple times, the pressure of the multiple line wraps around the frame, plus the pressure of the wind on the sail/frame could compress the frame while flying. I have watched John do multiple roll ups many many times.....how many John? 10? 15? 18 at a time? more? on his Sea Devil and he doesn't have a roll up cage Theresa
  7. Good to hear you're getting close to home! Thanks for the update! Have a safe trip, and we'll see you soon! Sleep? Can't you do that on the plane? Sure have missed you! T
  8. Ah HA! Scrapple! Yep, that's it. Thanks! Portland Cuisine? Umm...... You must mean Marionberry Jam? Yummmmm...it's really all you'll ever need. LOL! I spent the first 18 years of my life growing up in Portland, and honestly, I can't think of a unique regional dish/food that comes close to Scrapple. There's a short period of time in the summer, June to mid July, that Walla Walla Sweet onions are to die for. Deep fried, sautéed or just sliced raw on a sandwich...Yummmmm...can't get them anywhere else fresh! And when they're gone, they're gone....till next year. You are a great story teller Scott! Thanks for filling in the space! What topic's next? Theresa
  9. Scott, Thank you! I enjoyed reading this. When I saw it at OC '05, I knew immediately that it was a Garden. A sea of green waving in the wind. Like the dune grass. Smoothing, simple, beautiful. Thank you. Now, remind me why and what that was we ate at breakfast? I think it started with a B? Brackle? If we don't catch up to you and see you sometime before Des Moines, we will see you in Iowa! Take care, Theresa
  10. Thanks Amy! And the fireworks looked fantastic too! I think I saw Dave and John wave at us! LOL! Talk to you soon! T

If it's like last year, I'm guessing they're in the midst of the Friday night Awards Banquet. You'd think one of them, John or Dave, could sneek away for just a second and make a post for us far away from the action!!! Come on guys.....how'd the TBA end up???? T
