  1. I'm a sucker for a matched set. I like to give the illusion that I'm flying the same kite in vastly different winds. Works a treat with the Revs.
  2. Holy moly! Sweet bird as a prize!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And learning from each sail the subtle differences. Wouldn't give up any of my Revs. I'll wear them out before they get replaced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Paul, That is an incredibly generous offer! If you are willing to do that, I would be more than willing to abuse it! Hahaha. I will take a more serious look into getting a Shook. I mean the kite does sound pretty amazing considering my typical flying conditions. The Shook is not unreasonably expensive, however, I think for someone like me with no experience, it would be unnecessarily expensive. If I was to start over in Revs, I would be looking at the top shelf. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though...
  5. Start a thread! Let us know all the juicy details... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I've moved into the "deliberate trick" stage. Now to practice, practice, practice.

Sweet! I'm there too, man. Practicin' hard!

  7. http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/6384-seven/ The above is a thread with a heap of info on the Seven, including a website. But be warned, they are great lookers... Note: Appreciate that JB, just keeping conflict free 😜
  8. Not too sure how "ok" it is to put up non sponsor websites but you could google "Seven sport kite" and find it from there. Also, I will find the link to the topic archive for dual line kites and post it here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Make that the Seven SUL and a VTD...Couldn't resist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Here's the SUL on the table before finishing.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1431758599.063212.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That is one swweeeett looking kite!!!!!!!!! What is the translucent material? Is it Mylar? What is the weight per yard? If it's light enough, I may be interested in using it on one of my builds. Only know that it is lightweight Mylar. 10. Ahem, I told you so... Ha ha ha. Glad you tried it Wayne. It really attracts the onlookers flying with no wind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Ok, this may be a little forward, BUT I have a couple of words for you; "Look at a Shook" Yes they are expensive, you'll forget that once you did into the info on them. The other thing is they hold their value, so if it's not to your liking you can recoup costs. They are very rarely available second hand due to pilots not wanting to part with them. They have a HUGE wind range and 12 - 20pmh would be bread and butter for a Shook mesh. All I'm saying is have a little poke around here (and the Rev forum) for them. They tick a lot of "if I could have just one kite" boxes. Obviously this is all budget related. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Short term fix: Take the leaders off the bottom of your handles and larks them to the last knot of your top leaders. Attach your bottom lines directly to the hog clips on the bottom of your handles like the way you would with dual line straps. Instant longer top leaders and more brake. 14. But....Los Hermanos make a printed B2 sail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pretty sure it's a printed Rev II sail, small difference in design. Trawling through FB to find the post that qualifies it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. B2 size and shape. Yep, one piece. Design printed on can be up to your imagination. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Nice job. Can't comment on the technique, I'm not that good, but I would practice the sequence each time then compare the clips. A bit of practice can do wonders for getting your planes (horizontal and vertical) square. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The one that started it all!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I started my kids on a Symphony Beach 1.3 and the tail, a micron one, helped keep their attention. That and dive bombing me! That was when my kids were 3 (boy) and 6 (girl). Now my boy is 7 and wants his own Rev so I'm teaching him on mine. He's getting quite good. My daughter, now 10, prefers her SLK with the tails. A bar of 400mm was a help for keeping the duals. With quads I have to keep reminding my boy to keep his hands in front of him and not over his shoulders. One thing though. I am not concerned if he breaks my Rev, his smile is worth far more than carbon and ripstop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. One for sale on another forum with some nice pics... Edit: Apologies, meant for a different kite. Not for sale on different forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The pilot Adrian Bickerstaffe and he is the one from the Seven promo. Mad skills and also a great bloke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Odds are 1 in 332 or there abouts. That's how many active subscriptions there are. Still good odds. C'mon 977!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. This will go well with my Rasta Jammin' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Bump. If the RNG went on enthusiasm.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I made a template from polycarbonate from memory of a design I saw somewhere. It has evolved a bit due to production methods. That is, the shape has deviated a little. I'll snap a pic of the template over the top of a grid and put some notes on it. I used 5 ply which is plenty strong but a little soft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
