Looks like they are planning to wind down - to what, remains to be seen. They have closed all of their retail stores, here on the Oregon coast, including the Lincoln City location. Evidently, rent and other costs were just too high for them to continue.

There is one kite shop left in Lincoln City - Windriven. North of the "D" river on 12th Street. With the closing of the other store, they might improve their selection and quantities on hand.

It's always sad to me when businesses close with the retirement of the owner, instead of becoming self-sustaining entities. David Gomberg has been a fixture within the community, and both David and Susan's influence will be missed.

It's often the way of things as ownership becomes less and less of a true end user, gotta live in it to sustain it.

Just bought a super sled and tail from him. Need to pickup some spiky balls and a spinning spiky ball. Sad to see the staples of the industry fade away.
