Syruss Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 I have seen quite a few custom Rev sails and wonder if they care if someone makes a custom sail for their kite? If I ever decide to get into that I would love to make a custom sail for my rev. Anyone out there make these? Quote
John Barresi Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 It's generally accepted that if you already have a few Revs, no one will grudge you making a custom or two of your own. The big line is selling or distributing them, a major no no. Quote
Syruss Posted September 21, 2007 Author Report Posted September 21, 2007 I have 2 revs and I want more so maybe I am getting closer. I think I needed a B-Series Vented and I have a full arsenal of stuff to play with! I am kind of bummer though as I sold my Prism Prophecy and My Vapor. But I really like quads much more. It's YOUR fault John, if I hadn't seen you showing off I would have never known about the Rev addiction. And Penny don't think you get off the hook either, watching you with your short lined revs really makes me want to get one of those too. I am thinking that the Rev B with the 2 wrap might work okay for that too Quote

kitedog Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Great job on both kites. I have been thinking about making a custom/homemade rev. I want to do the American flag almost like yours. I would just extend the stripes out further. It would look like I layed the rev right on top of the flag and cut the rev pattern out. Other options are Ohio, Texas, and Puerto Rico style flags for the layout to keep with the RWB theme. Arns Quote
Syruss Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Posted September 22, 2007 I want one with a thumbs up on one side and a thumbs down on the other. Quote
Baloo Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Goodness Derek, first time I have seen the US UK sail. Looks fantastic. Quote
Chris Michaud Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 i was thinking putting the 1940s warhawk shark decal on the nose of ww2 fighter planes on the left wing and my symbol on the right, i think it would be sick Quote
wufer Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Cheers all. Yes as JB said, you can make em but dont sell em. If anybody starts that game it could come back on all of us. Anyway, the USA/UK flag rev=. Icarex pc31 Skyshark p200 (i know JB does,nt like p200, but each to his own ) I started of with a full white sail, sewed the blue and red on, then cut away the white from the back of the blue and red. And even if i do say it myself; it looks pretty good Flying vids when wuferlady can use the camara without shakin all over the place Anybody else got pics of there home made jobs?. Derek Quote

I'm innocent.. innocent I tell you! lol A B-series w/ 2 wraps would work but an indoor is easier. John.. when you going to stay home long enough to put my mystery ballet up? Santa Cruz on Sunday was awesome.. to bad you had to leave early. BB Penny Quote

John Barresi Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 It should also be said that Rev will generally sell all white or black sails, which you can then applique on. That way they're official (done right), and a little less work on the whole. Quote
Chris Michaud Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 how much are they? and penny sick is a good thing unless you are sick Quote
John Barresi Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Not sure, send Rev an email, they'll know. Quote
