Jeepster Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 2 more days, come on 0-0-0!!! Since this was posted yesterday, you are obviously planning ahead to be late. Today is the drawing day ... 4 for April ... 3 for the third day!!!! I know it'll be a big disappointment for several folks, but just draw my number and put them out of their misery. Cheers, Tom Quote
Wayne Dowler Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 Tom is right!!! Waiting on your picking a number!!!! PS: I think he's making us sweat it out!! Quote
John Barresi Posted April 3, 2012 Author Report Posted April 3, 2012 Jeez, can't a fella sleep in around here? Okay, okay... I suppose you're all waiting for a number. == The lucky winner is... #259 Must86, come on down! Congratulations Rob!!! Quote
Wayne Dowler Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 Congrats Rob!!! I know it's in good hands with you!!! Put it to work and video that session for us all to see!! Quote
Reef Runner Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 Holy Cow, I can't believe Rob won ! Congratulations Rob...............what a great prize ! Quote
Jeepster Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Well, heck ... guess I'll have to stick with SLKs and Quads. Congrats Rob!!!! Hope it brings you lots of pleasure. Cheers, Tom Quote
RobB Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 WOW ! I can't believe I won... what a prize ! THANK YOU KITELIFE ! This all leaves me feeling very conflicted, though. I all ready have a Widow Maker (it is one of my favorite kites, I fly it ALL the time) So, this kept me up last night... quite the boggle. So excited to win, but also I know that someone else who's never flown a Widow Maker should get a chance. Especially you quad guys... the WM is good enough to get some converts. This is what I'd like to do if anyone's interested... After seeing & flying it myself (yeah, I've never seen a NEW Widow Maker, mine was used) I would like to send it along to anyone who's interested in flying it. I think each person should get some time to get to know the WM, then send it along to the next. It would be cool if people took a picture with it, signed it, that kind of thing, maybe tracked it on a Google map. What do yous think ? It's either that, or pass it to an enthusiastic newbie... 1 Quote
--Pete Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Congrats! And, an astoundingly generous offer. Quote
John Barresi Posted April 4, 2012 Author Report Posted April 4, 2012 WOW, you're awesome Rob. Tell you what, you sort out who gets it first, and I'll ship it there. Just let me know who / where. Quote
John Barresi Posted April 5, 2012 Author Report Posted April 5, 2012 So, who gets it sent to their house first? Sits here much longer, I'm liable to fly it myself. <grin> Quote
Raul Santiago Gomez Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 Ey, I would be glad of flying that wonderful kite in the nice spanish sky. Probably the first widowmaker around. I've never tried a good 2 lines kite, but I think my Revos would not mind Quote
Baloo Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Think Rob said he wanted to fly it first John. So suppose you post it off to him, just to get it out of temptaations reach of course. Well done Rob, and what a cool offer. I would think the cost of passing it on to A.N.Other flyer would be a small price to pay for getting to try out a cool kite. Of course if folks were clever about it thay could always pass it on at a Festival or fly meet. Hope lots of folks get to fly it. Quote
RobB Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Well, guys... I'm sorry. I changed my mind due to lack of interest, and John's going to put the kite back in the prize box for a future drawing. Anyone who was hoping to fly it might still get a chance, cross your fingers when it comes up for a drawing again ! ~Rob. 2 Quote
Baloo Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Suprised you didnt get any interest in your offer. Still gives us all a chance to go through it all again some time. Quote
--Pete Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 I wonder if everyone was holding back to avoid sounding like, "ME ME ME. Me first!" Quote
