  3. Aye, that’s my design with @darkspark‘s engineering but sadly, he has been very busy as of late and they are not currently available. 😢

  4. The middle section has been merged. Piecing the black together was a challenge since it was harder to see the edges..Still oversized with excess to work with before it's all done but ready to sew the sail at this point.

  5. In fast winds the Widow NG is noisy. The noise is caused by the sail's vibrations. This is one of the ways to slow down stumt kites in order to allow the pilot better control and easier tricking. I had one (and loved it) but I can not remember if the leech line's tension can be adjusted in order to reduce the noise. I hope this helps 🙃

  6. Years ago, I had the fellow that makes JB's dogstake, make me several sets of handles. Made in 13", 14", and 15". I use the 15" in light wind, the 14" is my "regular" handle, and the 13" are my high wind set. I also had them bent a bit "flatter", more like indoor handles, for those of you familiar with them. Gives me a bit of extra brake already built in. If JB comes out with a more radius-ed handle, I would like to see how it compares to those I use now!

  8. I am somewhat Old School, but to me a 'full size' stunt kite might be in the eight foot range, although there is plenty of variation a few inches either side of that, mostly less. Not sure it is a defined term, but to me a three quarter would be in the 6 to possibly approaching 7 foot range. Examples: Benson Matchbox (~76"), possibly Prism Fanatic (~72"), Flexifoil Psycho (~78"), and more modern kite: Level One Reloaded (specs say 77"). OP and others will have other examples. That said, there are six to seven footers that fly 'big' and vice-versa. .

  9. The Sky Burner Pro Dancer SUL will fly in 0mph. However, you need the skills to make that happen. If you have trouble keeping the Zephyr flying in 2mph, then the Pro Dancer won't be much help at 0mph, but you will be able to fly it at 2mph easily. It is, like the 4d, more fragile than other kites. There is no "perfect" kite, even though we are all always looking for it. Each is a compromise of weight, balance, speed, agility and other factors. The way to make things work as you want them to is to perfect your skills to the point where you and the wind move the kite together. There are three levels of flying a kite: 1. The kite flies you. 2. You fly the kite. 3. Both of you fly as one. You'll know when you have achieved that 3rd level when it happens. For all of us that level is achieved intermittently; it is more of a mindset that incorporates a combination of many factors described as Zen. Have fun, smile a lot, and don't forget to breathe. You'll get there. We all started from the same point.
