  5. Good to know, thanks. Would be interesting to see a similar comparison between the two variants of Rev rod (green stripe and none).
  6. Curious, were these measurements made on Rev rods with or without the green band on either side of the label? (not to be confused with "Green Race", the green label trim indicates an era of manufacturing, old vs new)
  7. PS: On a Rev, the spine of a shaft will always orient itself to either side of the verticals, top or bottom of the leading edge due to flex... I've heard a "spine the wrong way" argument from a particular quad / spar company when folks were questioning recent spar quality, that's hogwash - the only thing we feel on the Rev style kites is flex, snap back, weight, etc, the spine was never a factor.
  8. Congrats @Paramedic! = Separate note... More important than the space, is to: Type the @ and the first part of the name Then wait for choices to pop up underneath and pick one It's not like Twitter where you just put # or @ and the text for it to work, the forum system actually has to look them up and call on some code.
  9. I could be mistaken but I think @Airfx (Terry) is on vacation at the moment, hopefully he's still getting email and will answer soon.
  10. Everyone expresses themselves differently, kites are no different and finding your voice with them is a journey - I get off on that and can truthfully say I've only been genuinely frustrated a handful of times out of thousands over the past 11 years I've been instructing. Fly like you feel!
  11. I have a very limber tongue. Seriously though, think the classic cartoon wolf howl... Dah-ooooooouuugie!
  12. Aye, sounds like you were introducing yourself and had a windgasm part way through - very endearing. lol
  13. My pleasure, glad it worked out.
  14. Offer stands, anytime.
  15. Alas, "dougie" is already in use by someone else. Happy to change to anything else you like, just let me know.
  16. I've made a lot, and I mean a LOT of errors on the way to whatever skills I have now. Enjoy the process, try to favor additional attempts over deliberation, anytime.
  17. Hi @FranckPG, sorry I let this lag so long - got behind with my recent trip to Detroit. Any update on accessing the videos? Let me know either way and I'll make it right.
  18. No pressure, *EVER*... I'm just saying.
  19. Truly welcome! FYI, I went ahead and merged your other "full name" forum account with the one you're actively using. No user changes on your end, just giving you a heads up.
  20. By and by, I kind of equate this to "I'll take a lesson when I'm good enough". The more you see / experience / learn, generally the faster and richer your growth is.
  21. Congrats, great showing! Shared on the B fan page...
  22. Glad to have you on the forum Lee, can't wait to hear about your exploits with @Flight Risk in Detroit.
  23. Thanks all - 58 tickets sold thus far, just 42 left to hit the reserve!

  25. Video editing credits go solely to Brett (@Flight Risk) , but we all (4) did the flying.
