  1. Half Basted..
  2. I can only speak for the HQ Kites Mojo.. It is not a kite to learn on.. Once you are already quad proficient it might be something to try. I have one in my bag. It hasn't been assembled for nearly 3 years now.
  3. Commissioned sail started this morning. Will be perspective style 72" full sail. More pics as they become available. LE is completed and ready.. Trim and details will be black.

    The 72's

    From the album: Riffclown's Homemades

My 72" collection. I had 15 last week but the two lime and Black builds are in new hands.
  5. @John BarresiFWIW, Your B2 video is what got me into quad Sport kites personally. Before that I was all power kites..
  6. Because of the materials, all of those sails have been split and are now flags.. They yielded me a nice set of 8 that I have yet to get poles for.. Most of my Tails solid sails have met the same use but they are for the most part still intact..
  7. I built one like that in the orange and blue early 2018.. Did you ever build yours??
  8. This kite has found a new home..
  9. This kite has a new home..
  10. Jockey's Ridge for long lines and most winds. The Wright Memorial for when you want a big grass field. The pond area behind the Whalehead Club up in Corolla. (It's across the road from Flying Smiles.)
  11. I really enjoyed my Bolero Stack.. OBX is not a bad place to be for flying. 3 of my top 4 favorite Flying spots are there. as @Cot51stState said, Go see Eliot and Cath up at Flying Smiles Kites in Corolla. They will put you on the right path for quads. Probably will even loan you one or two to try..
  12. Updated video
  13. Finally got a bit of wind suitable to fly in and one of my flying spots is available again (with social distancing) Pretty sure I met the requirement since I was alone.
  14. Love seeing the experienced inviting the inexperienced and literally paying it forward...
  15. I think you meant they told you SLE.. I'd personally suggest getting P4X Skyshark Camo rods. I don't know the prices there but it's a rock solid choice if you don't mind cutting and making your own.
  16. Higher Mesh winds predicted for this weekend.. WOO HOO
  17. It seems to be perfectly fine and predictable across the board. As expected, it's a bit heavy on the brake side but inverted is ROCK STABLE.. Reverse is a dream.
  18. I personally saw @John Barresi "almost" pull off a 360 with a Rev Ghost SUL on 240' lines.. If it hadn't been for the dune line he would have made it.
  19. That's exactly what it's called..
  20. I prefer the screen for multiple reasons..
  21. And a quick clip of the Bridle Test..
