  1. Looks like a regular 1.5 but the second frame is a bonus. Rev does use that pattern for their EXP series now but those have the Reflex IIRC. My guess would be you have a regular Rev 1.5 with a spare frame. (nice bonus) It's kind of hard to tell in the pic but it doesn't look like the extra frame has the green trim around the label.. If so, that is an even bigger bonus..
  2. There is a bit of a delay between input and reaction but like so many other things in our sport, you get the feel for it fairly quickly. Many people think it goes slower but in reality, it's only a marginal decrease in speed due to line drag. It's just the longer lines and distance to the kite makes it seem so. As you can see on the side slide, it reacted to inputs pretty well. @John Barresi was able to axels.. For me, Flying a quad on 240's is quite relaxing. Not a stop and pop reaction but you literally can sit back and fly under good conditions.. And the cool part is, the lines are long enough that even people who know kites, will look around and try to figure out who's flying it??
  3. Different fliers but the very same set of lines..
  4. What's cool is Makatakum kind of had the answer in his post. The most common answer you will get is to add brake (using upgraded leaders if needed).. The buzzing usually is an indication of too much forward. Adding brake keeps the sail loaded. I personally like to have the buzz for a dive stop but outside of that, I keep enough brake on it that it doesn't happen as often..
  5. Another quick composite of the Veraton Bridle Test..
  6. @Sardonycus Well, it's headed your way now. Details sent in a private message..

Kite #77 Headed out to west.
  10. Yeah, this is a fun kite.. Needs a touch of breeze but it'll be fun and quick.
  11. Quick Bridle Balance Check.. Winds are non-existent today but I hope to do a proper test this afternoon.. This kite is quick.
  12. Black Light Snap...
  13. It's Ready for the Bridle Test. @Sardonycus You get to name this sail. It's 100% your call. My one suggestion: "Veraton" comes to mind. (Backwards for Not A Rev)
  14. OK Finally got a chance to do the trimwork.. Will Frame and Bridle this tonight. Should be ready to mail NLT Tuesday..
  15. I mean this sincerely. A sock full of rocks works fairly well until the wind gets pretty strong.
  16. We'll get along just great. I like Carolina Reaper on Popcorn... I have a mix that I use sometimes, (Reaper, Scorpion, and Ghost mix)
  17. I don't have an answer for you since I'm not a dual line guy but I have to respond to one bit.. I'd say most of the tricks we do for dual and quadline kites started out as "I accidentally" followed by "Can I do it again??"
  18. The panels are sewn now. finished that up last night. LE, Edge binding, Framing, Trimming and Bridling remain.. This is a slightly different center pattern for this design. I went an additional diagonal from the previous pattern and I think it makes the center "bend" the eye a bit more.
  19. Almost time to start sewing..
  20. Pattern check... check...
  21. Half Basted..
  22. I can only speak for the HQ Kites Mojo.. It is not a kite to learn on.. Once you are already quad proficient it might be something to try. I have one in my bag. It hasn't been assembled for nearly 3 years now.
  23. Commissioned sail started this morning. Will be perspective style 72" full sail. More pics as they become available. LE is completed and ready.. Trim and details will be black.

    The 72's

    From the album: Riffclown's Homemades

My 72" collection. I had 15 last week but the two lime and Black builds are in new hands.
  25. @John BarresiFWIW, Your B2 video is what got me into quad Sport kites personally. Before that I was all power kites..
