  1. @Corey Bell I split the topic over to a new topic Quadline Beginner Questions to allow the for sale topic to remain on point. We typically lock a "for sale" thread down after the sale and I'd hate for your questions and those responses to get locked with no way to respond...
  2. I know it seems counter to the way you would think but you really do need some of these
  3. Thanks, First flight was encouraging.
  4. Kites are never out of season.. If conditions support, it's the right time to fly.
  5. THe RevII/B2 LE Sleeve is 72". The Spars (minus the ferrule) is 24.5
  6. @Corey Bell You can also search for Cuben Fiber which was the original name for this fabric.. Quite pricey but strength to weight ratio is off the chart. @DTill Looking forward to your next build.. Remember, metal shears, scissors and cutters will be dulled a touch by the Dyneema. Plan accordingly.
  7. Vents indeed. All holes. This kite is designed for 15+ MPH winds. Design inspiration came from of course Eliot Shook and his Masterpiece Meshes but I also turned the design on its corner to be in keeping with my Diamonds design..
  8. From the album: Riffclown's Homemades

Bridle checks today.. Winds around 5mph but test was successful. Now just waiting for wind and a proper flight.
  9. Finished my latest Diamond Mesh Mashup and wanted to give it a good bridle check. Winds less then 5MPH and kite designed for 3-4 times that so was indeed a challenge. Hopefully winds tomorrow will support a bit of video.. Pleased with the kite so far..
  10. No wind today but a break in the rain so decided to do a bridle check
  11. and one that has yet to fly.. Video to follow of course
  12. I've also got some plans for Sat and Sunday winds here. 15-20.. perfect trial by fire fo my most recent stuff.
  13. @Corey Bell You'll get there faster than you know it.. One statement of wisdom for you.. There is no alternative to practice time on the handles.. Only you can make yourself a better flier..
  14. @mystainedskin Hope to buggy with you someday. Buggying rocks. True powerkiting is oft ignored from the stunt kite side and it's refreshing to see another that will acknowledge both as off the hook fun..
  15. Thank You... Me Too I should know on Saturday.. Current Forecast, Sat DEC 22 Mostly Sunny H52° L35° 0% Precip W 15 mph 61% Humidity Sun and a few passing clouds. High 52F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Almost ideal conditions for this kite and Winter Jacket.
  16. Framing complete.. Just need to pick up my bridle jig from storage to tie a bridle and I'm done. Will flight test before Christmas.
  17. Edge Binding is done. LE is attached.. Only Framing and Bridling remain..
  18. Most often you'd place the battery box exactly at the center mass of the kite if at all possible. To cut down on the weight, have you considered changing the batteries out for button cells? They are much lighter. A single CR2032 is 3V and has same voltage as 2 AA batteries. That being said, The button cells are limited in power and are only a viable option for lighting LED's.
