  1. Beautiful and couldn't be More Appropriate! Thanks for posting... and a Happy Valentines Day to You, and All!
  2. It seems that many readers are NOT computer experts (most being of the pre-computer era) making it somewhat frustrating for we, the computer-illiterate, to keep-up with changes. :confused!: If changes are made in a slow and easy manner, it is much appreciated.

Mine goes back to high school when, by rare coincidence, guys I dated had accidents or other misfortunes. It was said, in jest, 'Don't date her, she's a jinx'! ...and it stuck! Refusing to admit being a jinx, I chose to spell it "Jynx"! Call me what you will... I am blessed to be one of the luckiest people I know! Aging gracefully until the anvil falls, Jynx
  4. YA! ...What he said! : )
  5. I was also a Lone Ranger today... flying at a soccer field in San Antonio TX, waiting out the days until my son graduates from BMT at Lackland AFB. Last night the TV weatherman predicted "High" winds 15-20 mph. (I don't know much about Texas weather, but back home that's not extactly what we call "High" winds!) Anyway... Good winds, a WINDerFULL day... numerous on-lookers who, I'm guessing, never saw a kite quite like mine, and a cop who showed-up to check out the strange UFO. Pretty cool flying my Rev and watching the Jets fly over-head!
  6. Good idea! 'Bout time the Bears crawl back in their cave (for another year)! ...GO PACKERS!
  7. Sorry!!!! ....Hope that didn't wake you!
  8. Guy ~ THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting your video! BOY... Did that take me back! I wish I had a video of my first days of flying Reving! I made every mistake possible and thought it was one of the "stupid-est" purchases I had ever made! Same here, rods on the front, lines tangled, slamming my poor kite into the ground over-and-over again, spending walk-of-shame-time more than sky-time, shaking my head... wondering how something so beautifully simple to watch others do, was so impossible for me to accomplish... three days later, and just short of throwing in the towel... it finally took flight! ...and so goes my continued obsession! Awesome PRICELESS video! Thanks for sharing! ...You Made MY Day!
  9. JB ~ Wishing You the inner strength, we all know you have, to help you through this difficult time! :w00t: Sent with a bunch of Gentle cyber-Hugs! ;) :throb: ...EG

  18. UNSURE IF THIS IS THE SAME... BUT... There were several very interesting replies I Posted on 06 June 2010 (Revolution Forum) See: I've been flying Revs for two years, and thought I had flown in most every semi-normal weather condition, until today. I, along with another Rev flyer, were flying at Veterans Park in Milwaukee WI, located at our lakefront. The winds were crazy shifty, coming out of the S/W, then an hour later shifting 180 degrees, coming out of the NE, ranging from approx. 5 mph, with quick gusts of over 20 mph. The skies were also changing from sunny to overcast (and back), temperatures from low 70s, to low 60s, all within a 2 hour span, the conditions switching minute by minute. We even commented on how strange the conditions were. We changed from full-vent, to mid-vent, to standard 1.5, back and forth, and were flying on 120' lines. The skies began to darken in the west and it appeared that a storm was approaching in the distance. Having time before it got close, we continued to fly. I was flying my standard "B" series Rev. All of a sudden my handles began to spark. Small sparks but never-the-less, sparks. I received a number of what felt like strong static shocks in both thumbs, along with sparking, and the snapping sound of an electrical charge popping on the metal handle tubing between the tips and the grips of the handles. I couldn't believe what was happening and lowered my kite to the ground, which stopped the static charges. Being a blonde, I thought I'd again attempt to fly as there was no rain, no lightning, just overcast skies, and I found it hard to believe that I had actually received static shocks. I again flew my kite, again got zapped several times, and decided to call it a day. (The other flyer was not flying while I experienced this). I told him what had happened and he was understandably surprised, if not short of believing me. We then wrapped up and headed to the kite shop on the grounds just as the rain began to fall. While at the kite shop, I watched one of the kite shop staff go to lower their windsock, which is atop an aluminum flag pole. He really got zapped, jumping back from the pole, and stood there for a minute just staring at it. He apparently grounded-out the pole, touched it again to test it, then lowered the windsock. I asked him, and the other 3 personnel, if they had ever experienced that before, none had and they were as freaked-out about it as I was. (Thank goodness the other flyer witnessed the flag pole incident too). It's still hard to believe it actually happened!

  22. Using one of the upright spars to tap (knock on) the leading-edge end-caps usually loosens the sand enough to twist and remove the cap.
  23. WINDerful birthDAY wishes from your ever-lovin' "EG"!
  24. WINDerful birthDAY wishes to you as well as congrats on the wedding, trip, and Rev! ENJOY ALL FOUR!
