OK, I call this combination "Combo #5" It's the Guillotene, reverse overhead, spin, reverse 180 or 360 and another reverse overhead to in front of me. "Combo #5" And I've conquered the raquetball court! I repaired my UFO, however, I strung it to tightly and will have to redo it. Yuk! That's work. You notice I never talk about housecleaning in here. Yuk, that's work too... But some things you just have to do. BB Penny BB Penny

How we fly can determine where those knots (old school) are too. Someone who is an agressive flyer with lots of push and pull may not need as much forward or reverse. We started the adjustments because we didn't have a choice of kites.. It was the Rev. I or the Rev. I. Now, a little adjustment goes a long way, or we have the option to swap kites out. One way they tested even flying in the past was to go to the top of the window, face 6:00 and dive stop. it should stop even, or you adjusted to make it so. BB Penny~who prefers one knot to multi.

Thanks Allen. I hope to get pictures of the whole cast when we do the first production. Hhehe our 10 minute skit is a production. I cut my Indoor Rev. lines down another foot. ewwww... but workable. I changed to the 1.5 handles. It makes the kite not as twitchy since it is so fast on the short lines. I believe the 1.5 handles have more bend in them, which gives me more play and I don't lay the kite out so easily. We'll see how it goes. I can do my whole routine without hardly touching a wall in the raquetball court. That's an amazing feat in itself. And it's almost totally choreographed. I picked up some blue wigs that are perfect for Thing 1 and Thing two's costumes. I told the people, I wouldn't buy their costumes, but if they bought cheap, I will pay for them and keep them for my future events. I bought like six blue wigs to be on the safe side. I hope to set the Dr. Seuss stage with decorated exercise balls and hula hoops. Thing 1 and Thing 2 will wreck havoc on the audience and pass out fliers with the cast names on it. The story line worked itself out great and all is good. On top of that..... I received my renessance (sp) music. Woo Hoo! If you go to Amazon.com and look for the CD "King's Courtand Celtic Fair", you can listen to free samples. I'm partial to #16, 2, 3 and 5, but I have to work it all out and that is going to have to wait until January. Well, I guess I better get to work. Stay dry! BB Penny

Well, I didn't get my costume to the gym yet. Patience still means wait nicely. It's hard to wait.. I'm getting excited about the single Rev.handle. Aughhh...Can't wait till it gets here. Meanwhile I have been practicing with my indoor Rev. with indoor handles. I cut the lines down to just under 9 ft. It does make it quicker, so I'm going to bring my Rev. 1.5 SUL handles which are shorter then the indoor handles and try them. I think it will help me to slow it down with a little less over control. Actually what I think it will do for me is make my reverse easier. I am doing some fast movements and want my reverse 360 more controlled. Hey, I came up with a new combination that I like. 1) A "Guillotine"... Revolution dead launch from ground leading edge face down towards me, to over my head and flying behind me in a split second. 2) Reverse Overhead. Pulling the kite back over my head from behind me in reverse so it comes down in front of me leading edge facing 12:00. 3) and then a few Pivots Me and the kite spinning. Very easy, very kewl in no wind. 1-2-3 punch. We have a potluck on Fri. when we'll go over what the office is up for at the talent show and I present my ideas to everybody. Most are in... some are still in the dark. The kewl thing here is I asked the receptionest downstairs if she heard what we were going to do and she said no. Misty wouldn't tell her. Yeah! Element of surprise would be wonderful. Yesterday I ordered 2 red gymnast ribbons. I'm thinking I'll be using them in my Jester routine and the girls can use them in the skit. Since I'm in property management I thought I might pull the skit together with "Sam I Am" trying to rent a property on Green Eggs and Ham St. I know.. I over do things. I have seen the wren fliers put duct tape on thier nose to protect it, but not on the sides. You should be more adept at flying it before you need to fix the sides.. but lets wait and hear from a 2 line flier. BB Penny

rkd2 short for Revkitedancer too, because I dance my kite around in the air. Rev on! "One Cent" because my name is Penny and my sister called me that. Ambassador of Kites. (I like this one~thanks Lincoln City) because I give free Rev. kite lessons whenever I can.

I only recognized "No Doubt" on that list. I'm not very musically literate. When I fly for fun I usually have a cd that inspires me for the season. New age usally. I like techno too. Old rock and roll.. I've been hunting all summer for Circus music. I bought one of the Screamers Circus Marches... it's just a little to march on for my costume. So now I've been hunting down Renassance music (sp) Hunting for music has certainly taken me to music I would have never heard of. Keeping a few songs that I love on the end of my cd leaves me the opportunity to relax when I'm done with a practice. Mood certainly determines what I find relaxing that day. What surprises me is what other people fly too. To see the kids flying to oldies but goodies seems unusual... But whatever floats their boat. In competition there use to be complaints that the flyers only flew to slow songs. It's easier, beautiful and soothing for your mind to take over and over again while you practice. That's not always the case now. People have added songs with more speed and opportunities. Geesh, I think at one competiton we must have heard "Wind Beneath My Wings" for 5 compeitiors. Still a good song too. One season someone else had the same music as I did. No biggy.. Wouldn't a competition with the same song be interesting? My favorite all time album to fly to is probably "Deep Breakfast" by Ray Lynch. BB Penny

It was a good fly. I forgot to mention I measured my shortest lines I'm using and they are right at 9 ft. Gosh, the indoor probably measures 7 ft. across. I am still going to take 1 ft. off. I do want the lines longer then the kite or it's just extended bridle right? They seem so short, but when you get on a stage... 30 x 25 not counting if they have to store band gear or 5 pianos behind the curtains and bring them in even smaller. The fast running routine is going to be so challenging, but I'm definitely sticking with the cat routine. I'm waiting for the final say from the office, but still brainstorming on what I can have 1/2 dozen people or more do with kites and ribbons on a tiny stage! I just read where the spent 5 million when they renovated the theatre. It's quite beautiful. I think a few of them are just as excited as I get whenever there's an opportunity to perform. Running away to join the circus I call it. If I can make this that fun for them they may be back. Flying and dog park today. I think I'll take my hot heavy costume and practice today. I've got to make sure I can actually do everything behind me that I'm doing without the costume on. That big old head and hat certainly limits me. Still, wait till I get a picture of the fantastic costume mom made me. You will die laughing! REV on! BB Penny

Wouldn't it be fun to fly at a renaissance fair? I've got another volunteer for the Work demo too. LOL Luv it! Commercial Realtors don't know what they are in for. I tell people I've been thrown out, flown out and they never told me the first time you can go just as fast backwards as forwards. I do remember Ron holloring after me.. "Penny.... it's a long walk back!" as I buggied straight down the beach the first time. Most of my OBE's have been with OPK's. Buggy On!
