  1. Better than it being upside down! There is no "666" subscriber, FYI. That would make an interesting raffle...
  2. If you want to film your adventures at night have the brightest light behind the camera. Sometimes the kite can disappear in the sky.
  3. You'll always want more no matter how prepared you are... I also found my "touch" with my revs improved after an extended stint of dual flying. I think that you have to quiet down your hands for duals and this helps with revs.
  4. With a B2 with sticks, you'll only every use the light frame. I leave my 2 wrap in my Std sail, and that's been up past 25mph.
  5. It also, when loose, adds a bit of "brake" due to the resistance of the flapping.
  6. I know what you mean about a magical connection with your Indoor. When it's all silent and you can only hear a slight sail rustle, the sound of your feet and an occasional spoken to yourself "nice".
  7. He's usually asleep when I'm flying it Wayne, 2am! With winter about to launch we'll hire an indoor court or something and freak a few people out!!!!
  8. Was out after work and took this. I was using my finger straps.
  9. I've seen that JB holds his in "3 finger style", at least it looked that way from the Kymera clips. That is pointer, middle and ring. My current straps are from Benson Kites but I have some Boas and normal ones too.
  10. I'm no expert..... I prefer finger and knuckle straps. These go around the pinky and ringman. I feel the changes in line tension better. Really does come down to feel and personal preference. Try different straps and ways to find which suits you best. As Tmadz said though, sometimes you need that extra purchase when the wind is up.
  11. On my SUL (with the bits) I like long and short lines. Nothing in between feels as nice.
  12. Watch out Scott, you'll be putting a French Bridle on soon...
  13. I can't quite get a snap stall but I can stall it the same way but using a 360 rotation!
  14. I have HQ nocks and a line to tighten sail, so it it quite easy to release after I'm finished. I don't think I would leave them under tension even if I was assured nothing would stretch, just in case. Each to their own preference though.
  15. Looking very seriously at this kite and his "Vital".
  16. My guess is 2-3 years with 5+ hours per week practice...I've got a fair way to go...
  17. Shockwave has six connection points.... Or, Get some green and yellow tails, 6 at a minimum 12 going a little hee haw, and train your pros... Stacks and tails really pull the crowds. Don't do it near a road as you'll stop traffic! I know!!
  18. Being an international customer, email is key to service. With time zones and shift work a phone call just isn't practical. I admit to being a bit lazy to return an email but I'm not running a business from it. If I get good service, I'm a repeat customer. I wouldn't name the ones I've had poor service publicly as there may be circumstances that don't know. I recommended the ones if had good service from.
  19. I've got both the Prism DVD and the Benson one. Honestly, if you have a smart phone go to Dodds YouTube and preview in the field. If you have Facebook, Dodd's Flight School page has all the lessons in the pinned post for easy reference. Spoken instruction is very clear, PIP is great. Well, you've seen them. The Prism DVD "Freestyle Pilot", I found, to be a little hard to hear but I think that is due to it being transferred from a VHS tape rather than a master. The instruction is good and offers sound tips. It was good in the fact it showed with pointers the "initial" and "secondary" inputs as the appear on the kite as well as the spoken instruction. Split screens help. The Benson DVD "Trick or Treat" has written instruction over layed stop/go video which breaks it down simply. Simple tips and instruction. The movie part of the DVD is bluntly "hella cool"! Not sure if there is a sample of the Prism DVD floating around but I know there is of Trick or Treat. Actually watching ToT now!! Save the cash and buy some knuckle duster straps for your dual.
  20. When I first got interested I didn't receive anything back from 2 dealers. That was 8 revs ago!
