We're off on a little adventure at first light. I have mine on the Joby type too. We should get a nice mix of perspectives.

You guys!!! If someone else had said "hey check out this hat it's really good" I would've looked a the price tag and told him "you're dreaming". But I found myself actually looking! I think I'm far from buying. But the fact I'm looking at a $100+ hat is strangely new.

Shopping trolley collection frames make a "kite skate park frame". I've spent numerous outings just doing axel grinds, ollies and stuff on them!

Déjà vu - Why I fly kites (doesn't everyone ?)

Still got him. My boy runs around with him at the park. With no fishing rod in sight! -
My B Series Mid vent just arrived. Which rods should I use?

I'm playing around with Franken Frames at the moment. I've taken my SLE Std from my 2-Stack for street use. Currently I'm enjoying a 2 frame on all corners and a Black Race in the centre. Quite a sweet feel, very responsive. -

3 Christmas' ago (just over 2 years) I took the kids across the road to fly "our" jellyfish kite. You know the type. Cheap, neon yellow but kids love them. Well I was working it up and down and the kids were having fun chasing it. FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES!!! Then the just walked off. That night I thought there has to be something better. A bit of googling led me to a "sport wing". That was intriguing. I click on the YouTube link and that takes me to the clip of the B2 release. I must of watched that clip about 10 times in a row. I had to have one. About 2 months after that I had a Lime & Blue EXP RTF package. Fast forward to now and there isn't a wind in Perth that I can't (or won't) fly in. Except for a cyclone, even then I'd bridle a frame and have a crack. I even have some dualies, a Rok and a glider. So for 35 odd years my kiting history went from flying an SLK from a fishing rod to flying Revs and Dualies. And Lovin' it! -

I use Black Race Rods in my Mid and I find it perfect. Handles the severe gusts we get here and still be light enough when the wind drops out. Practice with what you have and let your hands tell you what you need. -
Sail stretch would be the biggest thing. Most others can be fixed with a patch or some thread. Use. If your not confident then spend less and get a beater! Guaranteed though, you can't stop at just one...

Ha ha ha. I've never seen the Cookie Monster one before!

What's your favorite light wind Kite.

I do believe you've flown my Indoor too... -

Low winds would have me on short lines, 30 - 50 feet. I will venture to longer as I get more comfortable though. The kite I would use would be my Rev 1.5 SLE SUL. The set up is Diamond frame, French Bridle and Magic Sticks. I'm more comfortable flying it with 15" handles but I practice with 13" too. If I want to switch it up AND there is no wind, I'll fly my Indoor Rev on 20 feet. Zero wind but heaps of fun. Low wind can be horribly discouraging and I used to hate it. But as your technique and touch grow it becomes quite relaxing. Main thing is stick with it. -
..... and just like that, Axel Axel Axels all over the show! I just couldn't quite get, then seeing what you were doing with your opposite hand and it all fell into place. Thanks heaps for the vid.

Doesn't 180GO use SLE kites?

Don't think of it as outside, just inside a really REALLY big room.

Where's the other 3 lines....... Nice bro, can't wait to see them dance.

Pink would be great for night use.

Pretty sure that's the Modulus set, standard stuff is white.

Head mounts. Take along a friend to film or just keep an eye on your stuff.

Just like towing a kid around on a tyre...

Rev Accessories! Aerostakes for Sale!
SparkieRob replied to Aerochic's topic in Kites for Sale, Swap or Trade
I was trying to snag these as well, but no shipping to Oz!Well yet anyway.. Rob, if you want to, I can order one for you and ship it to OZ. Not sure what it would cost, but if interested let me know. Really appreciate that. I've spoken to Carolyn and shipping kills it at the moment for the amount I was after.
