  1. Ha ha ha. As an Aussie, we don't take Hogs (pronounced Hoags) seriously....
  2. I use my iPhone for 99% of all my internet browsing. With only a few exceptions do I opt to go to the "Full Website". Most aren't optimised for mobiles but with the screen capabilities if the iPhone that isn't really a concern for me, pinch and zoom has almost become second nature. As for apps. I would use an app over the web in most circumstances as they are more compact to use, use less data to maintain, are "trimmed down" to all the features that I use most and I can turn off the background refresh feature. Security, that's a big grey area. For example, Facebook wants access to your contact list before you can post videos via the app. Geo location too can't be turned off too for all apps that use it. I have been using an iPhone for 6 years as my primary gateway to the internet and only a hand full of times it has been frustrating.
  3. And the great thing about magic... It can be taught and learned. He is a hell of a Magic Man.
  4. That's easy, Something, so long as it's got s KiteLife logo on it! And the blue Buffs.
  5. Is it just me or... Can you picture this: JB drivin', TK shotgun. Both have their shades on. Kites in th' back, tent up top. A little Chuck Berry crankin' "Way back in Louisiana down in New Orleans...." Well deserved mate.
  6. I'm assured there IS some video of this....
  7. 30 feet is just nice for the B2 and I wouldn't go any shorter. For my Std, I've flown on 27, 25 and 20 feet and they feel very claustrophobic. Also you reaction time needs to be quick on the B2 anyway. I don't have any #50 spall mine are #90. If I was ever limited to take just one kite set up it would be this: B2 Std 2 wrap frame Prefer 50 foot lines but 30 would suffice 11" handles Hope this helps. Oh, I've now got magic sticks on my B2 so probably could push the top end a little higher... A word of warning though, above 15 mph on the B2 Std is very addictive, and sounds like a light sabre!
  8. I've never worried about doubling up Leading Edges in my B2. I'll run up to 20 mph with the 2 frame and everything else I'm game to fly in over that with the 3's. I've got the B2 Std. I place more emphasis on enjoyment than sail stretch though. And boy is a B2 F U N!!!!
  9. Just to chip in.... I NEVER have to sign in when using my Tapatalk app on my iPhone. Once it's set up that's it!! I still have to re-sign in using the web but it's never a bother as I'm used to doing it. I would sign in on my work console 20-30 times a shift!
  10. I got the 16's for my SUL and have found them fun. Monster slack line glide!
  11. I'm sure Cath will let you know there are 2 sizes for 1.5's.
  12. I got my Magic Sticks from Flying Smiles Kites. I got 2 sets, 1 for my B2 and 1 for my 1.5SUL. The kit comes with everything you need along with easy to follow instructions. Really happy with them so far.
  13. Sweet! Now instead of "Power User" what could I be....?
  14. Still interested. I looked at the date and thought it was over! Our dates in Oz go dd/mm/yy I would be very happy to put this into my "other kites" bag! Very happy indeed. 977
  15. Very interested in this. In the past, I've downloaded to laptop and sync to my iPad.
  16. Starting out, zero wind is really horribly discouraging. Even a little wind helps. As a gauge, walk in the direction the wind is blowing and if you can't feel it start there. About 5kmh. A gentle breeze will help you and build up confidence as you learn. It will also lessen the "crash" if it happens. I remember cursing light wind, now I've learned to fly in it. It takes patience, practice and technique. If you kite is heading straight down do two things. Throw your hands and arms fully towards the kite. AND. Walk towards the kite. This takes the drive out and slows the kite. Hope this helps. If it's not clear, say so. We are all friendly... Keep us up to date on your progress.
  17. Thanks for doing exactly what you do. Your instruction, publicly and private, your insight and leadership. Without a worthy captain at the helm a boat may as well be drift wood. You are a fire starter, FLAME ON!! Happy new year to all.
  18. Traveling Bicycle worked straight up a while ago on my iPad. Very cool!
  19. I'm currently looking into YouTube and Vimeo.
  20. A platformed ring, gives a full window to fly in and omnidirectional.
  21. No hiding now, I've got an action cam...
  22. Cool, cool, cool. Mate, you are an innovator for sure!
