    In the electrical trade we know them as "Tell-tails" and they are used to give feedback as to whether or not the "Tail drum" or non driven end of a conveyor is rotating.

    I have a Symphony Beach 1.3 and it is a packet of fun! Dive bomb it to earth and BOOM! The kids love the sound. Throw a tail on and watch the show.

    I was once flying on the grassed verge outside a shopping centre killing some time while my daughter was at a birthday party. After the 3rd or 4th screech of tyres I decided that was enough. I did meet a fellow Rev flyer though.

    Hey Mick, I've put this place on my "to do" list. Now I've just gotta get east. I love flying kites at home. I put our then 18 month old in her high chair under the front eaves and entertained her with my SLE on 30ish lines on the front verge. She loved it. Neighbours think in a little crazy...

    Nice shots. The bottom one of the PoloVTD would be, at a guess, in the 40's kmh with the 3 frame. Really sweet wind for that kite.

    I had a go on a Revolution Blast 2-4 on Thursday just gone and all I can say is... WOW! At first I tried to fly it like a normal Rev but didn't have the strength to pull in the bottom lines. "Hold the handles lower" came the advice. Oomph! The power locked in! Then the wind just died so I started to do a 360! I made 3/4 of it before the kite touched ground. I was a little puffed and chuffed. Nearly a 360 after only 5 minutes with a beast like the 2-4. I gotta gets me one of those!!

    Flew one of these kites on Thursday. Short lines cause you want to take in the view! Beautiful.

    I'm a bit lucky as both my Std and UL have roll bars so on those rare occasions it falls nose forward I walk. I did put it like that to practice but gave it up as I could NEVER get it to work.

    By dead launch, do you mean belly down nose pointing at you? I tried the recovery described in the Prism DVD but still can't get it to work. I walk too.
