My first real 2 line flight. Terrible wind, bloody great backdrop

  4. Mate, I would hate to know how bad it is on the sail. It is sooooo goood to watch and fly. I'll love that sail to death, quite literally. It's ok though, I know a guy who could fix it....
  5. You really only need a B2 Standard, I've flown mine up to 25mph! It's a complete-laugh-a-minute animal! So I'll take this one, introduce it to its long lost brother and tell you how it goes....
  6. Throwing your arms forward takes the "wind out of the sail". This really depowers the kite quickly thus stopping all that forward drive pressure. Thumbs forward changes direction of the wind off the sail only. This is a great way to save a kite from impact with Mother Earth.
  7. On 90' of line! Wow, that would've been a sight! Cool.
  8. Oh, just one thing. Check out Watty's modification article on the normal part of Kitelife. Gold.
  9. I'm still learning the lingo...
  10. I got my Indoor for the same reason. Mine came with #90 x 10' lines which I found too short for outside. I've made a set of #90 x 20' and find this is good, for now. I use the Indoor handles with it, never tried anything else. Just in case: if you can "feel" wind put it down. It loads very quickly.
  11. Just a couple of mates having a laugh... Great clip.
  12. My B2 isn't a year old yet, to me anyway, and I'm on my 3rd bridle. I love that thing but I spank it like an illegitimate child! Parts I can replace but memories stay forever.
  13. Increased aesthetics maybe, but build quality on the Los Hermanos (Polos included) are still "factory build", albeit in Spain instead of San Diego. Agreed. Can't beat a Baz. Unless you have a quiver of Bazzas. What is the correct name for a group of Bazzas?
  14. Wayne, that gif is very hypnotic, 844, I think it could, 844, be getting to me...
  15. Closest to a B2PRO would be the printed Rev2's from Los Hermanos Show Kites.
  16. The Supersonic comes with 11" handles and MOSTLY 80' x #150 lines. Go longer if you want. Use #90 in lighter winds if you want. I've flown one on 80' x #90 and response is electric!
  17. I just went through the entire Kitelife articles and I couldn't find "JB Hands" anywhere!!
  18. Gotta watch out for Jynx, heart of gold but hands of a dealer! Someone bottle that woman quick!!
  19. Wouldn't a Crossfire Comp be more comparable than a B Pro? Same brand (tick with the sponsor), same type (tick with the 2 stringers). Don't get me wrong as I would love a Pro as much as anyone but we don't want JB to be Pro'less.... Imagine those consequences. I'd be happy to win anything. The fun is in the hunt...
  20. Check out the tutorials too! They are pure kiting gold. I have them loaded on my iPhone so I can take JB everywhere. Covers a lot of what you'll need. Except practice. Do that lots.
  21. Now let's see, I think I need a flowform / ultrafoil, or something like that ! I don't have one of those and then maybe.................? I know what a flowform is but an ultrafoil... off to google I go. And that usually ends in a purchase!
  22. Short lines give you a real sense of connection to your kite, sharpens your reflexes and hones skills. I use 30' x #90 as I chopped up a spare line set I had. I don't have any quad #50, well yet. I use the 13" handles. The short length makes it easier to muscle your kite if there is no wind. Don't just use it in light wind though, it is a real blast in normal wind, a complete hoot in higher wind! 3D work is so much fun and looks really trick too. I would say that my 30's is my most used set. Probably use it 60% of the time.
