  1. Bai Designs also do printed sails. They have a very cool printed mesh rev, worth a look. Don't let all the flowers put you off, they look very soothing. Don't be too worried if your next mid doesn't fly the same as a Rev type mid, a little personality goes a long way! I see a lot of comments from experienced pilots that if they could just get 3 Revs they would be a set of Shooks! Don't think about "newbie" when getting your next kite, get something that makes you smile when you look at it. You'll remember THAT after the price is forgotten.
  2. Or as a fundraiser!
  3. I have the VTD version (there are 3, Ultralight, Midvent or half vented and the VTD) and it is smooth as silk in higher winds. Really nice looking kites.
  4. Because when I first flew his Zero G I got string burn. I wasn't used to pulling in and letting out line.
  5. I was one of those inexperienced ones... and it gave me a string burn! Ha ha ha. Now I am going to get my own! They are easy to fly and are very rewarding as well. Calming.
  6. This kite would be awesome for some night time kiting around the shopping centers. I'm in.
  7. Next Rev will be an indoor. Ironically to get out of the house during winter.
  8. JB, you could give away a Indoor Rev to coincide.... Just kidding. Might work...
  9. I wouldn't say better, just a different kind of fun.
  10. To be honest, I'll put up my B2 Std in that before my PoloVTD. A few months back there was no way I would've even considered that kite for those speeds but a little coaxing from some Rev forum members ..... That little kite just rips around the sky and it sounds soooo much like a light saber! Great for your reflexes too.
  11. Favorite wind speed, am I allowed to say 20mph+....
  12. Just checked your original post; I found using a vented sail was more comfortable for me to practice inverts and hovers even though I was doing it higher in the wind range.
  13. Rods: "Professional Use Only" are 2 wraps, "Ultralight" are 3 wraps and "Strong" are 4 wraps. Yes you can use Race Rods in ALL sail types. Use the amount of bend in your leading edge to guide you in rod selection. Too much bend go up a size, or a more vented sail. Be careful about putting stiffer rods into a full sail, once that sail stretches it won't come back. In my Std I use 2 wrap, Race Rods or 3 wrap frames, or a combo just to make it more confusing. They key is to find a set up that you find not only comfortable but also confident to fly in. BTW, crashes look worse than they really are. Hope this helps. Rob.
  14. I like red too.... 977 I can just picture me, this kite and Prince in my ears trying to do my best JB impersonation. And maybe flying it!!!!
  15. For me, it has to be my B2 Standard. It's the kite that hooked me on Revs. It's always first out and last back regardless of the wind. It takes all the abuse I give it and just keeps coming back for more. Long lines, short lines, I'm always smiling when I'm flying that baby.
  16. Congrats Erik, first draw into the 4 digits!
  17. Mmmmmmmmm...... 977 977 The dualie I am working my way up to!
  18. Very nice kite. There is something peaceful about admiring what you are flying.
  19. Keeping the "phone" close by incase the RNG dials my numbers!
  20. Red! I WANT this one! 977 977
  21. Stopped football practice! That was as close to a kite festival as I've been!
  22. Give the poor bloke a chance! Psst RNG, 977 in the 2nd chance draw!!
  23. No worries about that John, the courtesy call to let me know they're mine can come at any time....... 977
