  1. "Kite magic", I like that.
  2. Grey fades are hell cool! I'm in.... Ha ha ha, I know I know. Not letting this one go. #977 c'mon.
  3. Could you split down some food skewers?
  4. Another great vid! Well done.
  5. Wait till they see you "practicing" at work. That creates a few stares, and looks...
  6. So many "enablers" in the kite world... Why it feels like home I guess.
  7. B2 Release video by Kitelife. The cool guitar, and JB ripping it up at the beach.... Hook, line and sinker! And best of all, I have one of my very own!
  8. Quick reminder that if my number, #977, comes up to redraw. Good luck all.
  9. A vented sail is great for learning your inverted hover. "Own thy hover" You will want more kites soon anyway. Get on the colouriser and find "your colours"!
  10. Very, very nice! If I wasn't still in the honeymoon period with my new 7....
  11. Do it! If you can get a colour scheme on the colourizer then I say go right ahead. They all can take a few hits. Fly something you like the look of. Cost will be forgotten, smiles will remain.
  12. First "proto" done. This was to get a feel for lengths and thicknesses. Winds and unwinds smooth. Next one I will put a handle hole relief for unwinding, a back cut slot to hand fly. I also might try a "straight" type with radius'd ends. I saw Bazza had one in his hand in a pic from the kite festival in Oz.
  13. Your B Series, although much loved and often used, need replacing when I met you... Btw, that RB Cavalia kite even my wife likes!
  14. Keep it. Fly it with a heap of brake until your reflexes are up. Or just fly it in std sail winds till you get used to it. The supersonic can do things a lot faster but only if you allow it. It's tough so it can handle some crashes. It is a very rewarding kite to fly in control. It will make you smile and laugh from your belly. Keep it.
  15. Nice kite! Lam's birds are part art, part kite, but all sweeeeet! I will have one one day.
  16. G'day all. I'm making a wooden card type line winder for my Rok as the halo just doesn't fit into my bag well. I have made some templates of different styles ready. I am wondering the thickness of ply to use? I have options of 5mm, 7mm, 9mm and 13mm. My guess would be 7mm (9/32). My designs are between 250mm (10") and 330mm (13") long. Thanks.
  17. I have Black Race in my B Std and Diamonds in my 1.5SUL and there is a difference. It's not huge but it's there. The major difference, for me, is the Diamonds load and unload faster in the lighter winds.
  18. I got a Prism sliver roll up bag from a mate and it was missing a couple of buckles. I contacted Prism as I wanted to purchase some and they sent me out replacements plus some spare free! They even double checked as there were a couple of different types. Pretty happy with their service too.
