Good question, it is a state park about a mile or so south of the big bridge. Just get go south over the bridge, go about a mile and the entrance is on your right.(coast side) Just follow the main road to the last parking lot It is a big lot. maybe 100 slots. It is south beach state park. You will see the bathrooms and from the bathrooms there are a couple of trails over the dune.., does not matter which trail.

From the South Beach Parking lot there is a path over the dune right beside the restrooms. I usually end up a few hundred yards North of that, sometimes South ..but depends where beach goers are not. I am sure if one of us gets in the air it will be easy to find each other. I have never seen another rev on that beach. (if there is we got a line!) Normally Sandy flies with me, but I will be solo tomorrow. I would guess I will be there from noonish until late afternoon or early evening ..depending on the wind and the old body energy level. I have to leave enough juice in the tank to make the 90 min drive home. If you can't make it don't worry about it, I will be going regardless. Cya tomorrow! T

How long are you going to be in Newport? I may fly South Beach tomorrow (Sat) if the winds are ok. If you want to fly a rev with me, just let me know. Terry

Sandy & I would be probably attend the clinic in LB if held on those dates.

We are thinking of heading to FL. Jan or Feb for a flying mini vacation. We are not looking to compete, just fly revs with folks and a mega fly or two. What days should we look at being there? It is not possible to stay for more than 2 or 3 days. Thanks for any advice or tips. Terry

Reved’s radio harness update. A few months ago I asked if anyone would be interested in making a wiring harness for me. The goal of the harness was to connect our flying radios with a music source so flyers could hear call commands and music through headphones. My thought was that it would be beneficial to learn to fly with music or learning a specific routine. Like many folks we were using the radio system along with a Bluetooth speaker strapped to our back pack or belt. Reved took on the task and put together a harness that is easy to use, and reliable. I use a Reved harness with fairly short connectors. There are three lines. 1 line plugs into the radio transmit jack, one line plugs into my ipod, and one line has a receptacle that I use to connect the “call” headset. We added a mono to stereo adaptor to each of the receiving radios. Each flyer can adjust overall volume on the radio, the ipod controls the music volume. It is simple to use, not a bunch of wires everywhere and it just plain works. I also have a harness with longer wires that may be beneficial with the winter gear. The harness is now part of the bag just like Walt’s marble stakes. Sort of wish I had more to say about it, but you just plug it in and fly…that is a good thing. Dang Wayne that stinks. My lines went the previous weekend so I was lucky (did not know it at the time) We flew the whole time of the festival so did we did not see any demos. Did yours go ok? Also sorry about hijacking your radio channel. Checked it for a while and did not hear anyone ..so went with 11 Now I know.
