makatakam Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Next up is a Revolution EXP quad-line in teal and pink. The photo is stolen from Google Images, but the colors and panel layout are identical. Sail is crisp, very little visible wear anywhere, colors are not faded but the white panel is slightly yellowed with age. Bungees have been adjusted, but not cut. It's an oldie but a goodie. Frame (no markings) and sleeve are included, no lines or handles. Current Karma rules apply. Your post MUST start with the words: I'm in. I am going to be very busy this month and will disregard any post which does not start with "I'm in". Drawing will be late in the day on September 15th, 2014. Your entry number will be the order of entry, winner will be drawn by RNG (random number generator). Good luck to all! 1. Nick Russell 2. mywindstuff 3. lmoaks 4. Fred van Curen 5. Amexpmh Standard Karma Note from the Moderators: This is a Karma Drawing. The winner of the drawing is expected to pay it forward by offering their own prize for the next drawing. Please do not enter unless you are willing to offer your own prize, preferably not the prize you just won. Drawings should be open for entry approximately 2 weeks, and the next drawing should be posted as soon as possible to keep the Karma rolling. These drawings are run by and for KiteLife members. The moderating team only ensures that your drawing post contains all of the pertinent information (drawing date/time, adequate prize description, drawing rules) before approval. If you are a KiteLife member, and you reside in the lower 48 states of the US, you are eligible to enter. You do not have to be a paid subscriber. (Edit to reflect rule change) Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. Here is the link to the original Rules and Guidelines thread: http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5426-rules-and-guidelines-please-read/ The mechanism for the drawing itself is entirely at the discretion of the person offering the prize. In the past, entry number has been determined either by order of entry or by the post number in which the member declares entry into the drawing. The drawings have been performed using the RNG method (http://www.random.org/sequences/) or by choosing the numbers out of a hat (I believe an adorable daughter did the picking in that scenario). The only requirement is that the method of selection is clearly spelled out in the drawing post.Entry into the drawings is done by STARTING a post in the drawing thread with the entry phrase chosen by the drawing host (Traditionally "I'm in", but "I LIKE" has been used as well). In order to remove any confusion or misinterpretation, only entries with posts that START with the phrase will be considered. As with all other KiteLife drawings, bantering is encouraged. This is for fun after all. 3
Nick Russell Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 I'm in, looks like it would be a good starter kite for my wife. Thanks Mark 2
mywindstuff Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 I'm In-To Rev's! I think my wife will love these colors, that is while she sits and watches me fly it. Thanks Mark. 1
lmoaks Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 I'm in ... Love the colors, I hope I win this one! 1
bbailey49 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Just 3 people? Come on folks this is a great prize. Let's see some action.
Fred van Curen Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I'm in (Two REP'S in two months that would be awesome) 1
mywindstuff Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Just 3 people? Come on folks this is a great prize. Let's see some action.. SHHHHHH! You just decreased my odds of winning. Lol. 1
RobB Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Oh, wish I had a use for this, it's a super nice prize. You all keep stepping up the ante, I'm worried about having something good enough to offer if I ever win the Karma drawing ! 1
Amexpmh Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I'm in. I'll work on what to give away if I'm lucky enough to win again. I'll keep this kite to give to an aspiring Rev flier. Get them fully hooked. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
makatakam Posted September 15, 2014 Author Report Posted September 15, 2014 Last chance, people. Tonight's the night. Cutoff time is 9:00 pm Central. I may not be able to post the winner until tomorrow, depending on Internet access. I've been having problems lately.
Nick Russell Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I know how frustrating that can be. The campground we've been the last two weeks has had terrible internet. Fortunately, we're moving south about 70 miles today for a three week stay and the area there is supposed to be much better. Selfishly hoping to win this one so my wife can get into flying too. 2
makatakam Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Posted September 16, 2014 Thirty minutes left -- anyone who wants in, do it now. Cutoff time in 30 minutes. 1
makatakam Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Posted September 16, 2014 Ok, only five players. Will edit this post shortly with the winning number. Drum roll, please..................................................the winner is number 1. Congratulations, Nick Russell. Please stop winning everything I offer. You and the RNG are making this look like a fix. PM me with shipping address. 5
Nick Russell Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Wife is sitting her with all her fingers crossed. 1
Nick Russell Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Wow, that is really cool!!! You just made one lady really happy. Thank you! 4
Amexpmh Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Congratulations Nick (and really Nick's wife). I hope you two have fun together. Marshall 1
makatakam Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Posted September 16, 2014 Wow, that is really cool!!! You just made one lady really happy. Thank you! Don't thank me, thank the RNG. Also, I would like to thank all 5 players for joining in. Can't believe only 5 people were interested! Just a quick reminder that the prize you offer does not need to be a higher end item. Stay within your means, but do offer something that will appeal to kiters, including dual and single liners. 2
Nick Russell Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Terry is bouncing off the walls. She has wanted a Rev forever. 4
Fred van Curen Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Congratulation Nick hope you both enjoy the REV. 1
mywindstuff Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Congrats Nick, you are a lucky man ! Enjoy the Rev Terry!
Nick Russell Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 The Rev came the other day and Terry is excited to get it into the air. We're currently in southern Virginia and will be in Virginia Beach in a few days, hope to try it out then. Thanks again, Mark! I'll be posting my new drawing today or tomorrow. 3
bbailey49 Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 The new drawing is posted. Locking this thread down. Thanks, Mark, for offering such a great prize, and thank you, Nick, for keeping the Karma going. Barton 1
