Still in season, so no deep discounts, but Hallowell's Motel is right next to our breakfast spot, afternoon beer spot and the night fly spot. They still have some rooms available. Motels on the mainland side (Morehead City) will be somewhat less, but you will have a bit more drive to the clinic.

So...11 now. This thread should be blowin'up.

I don't know about "ya'll"...but I am feeling an itch....should I scratch it?

The itch involves a bunch of Rev Heads on a beach.... the energy that comes from these people is phenomenal. ....feeds my soul for months on end.

Ya....me thinks a good scratch is way overdue! ;)

Early afternoon here the sand is too hot for bare feet. August can be quite warm. Hats buffs and sunscreen. With luck we will have a nice breeze blowing off the ocean.

Has everyone found a place to stay?

I booked Friday and Saturday at Hollowell's. Still several rooms available there as of today, but it's expected to fill up fast, that weekend is also the Pirate Festival. I think I'll probably need to take Monday off from work to recuperate, but we'll see how it goes! :)

FYI, still just one spot left open out of the 12... Who's gonna grab it? :)

I was hoping that after I win the Rev raffle I'd be able to come down, but I'm going to be headed the other way to KY that weekend.

I hate to say this....but I don't think I will be able to attend. Due to some last minute pressing circumstances I am not a liberty to blabber about right yet :) Nothing bad...only awesome things as to why. I hope that you all can forgive me. I wanted more than anything to be a part of a beach full of Revs.

If there is any way I can make it happen...trust me...I will.

Bummer! But life happens. You are still most welcome and your place is on standby if it works out.

Did this event come off as planned, or what? No pics. No posts. No nothing.

Just curious ?

I surely hope all went well, and I really wish that I could have joined you, but it just wasn't to be......... :ani_victory:

Check the Facebook page for the clinic. Many pics and several videos. 11 kites in a mega fly. Fantastic time.

You will have to come next year. I think you can go to Facebook and see the pictures without having your own Facebook page.

"At RDU waiting for my flight home and reminiscing... What a truly amazing week, highly successful private lessons (Thu/Fri) and Rev Clinic (Sat/Sun), jam-packed with good times, lots of learning and a lot of zen.

Deeply, madly, love to all who participated / attended... Marshall, Chip and Caroline Earp, Ed Rexrode, Scott Parrish, Juan Leon and Patricia Jean Salem, Mark and Tina Chesser Heatley, Tom and Ruth Lawson, Aaron and Shelly Turnage, Tim Plyler and Barry Beach... Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE made significant advances in their flying, each bringing their own unique flavor and personality to the event (as it should be).

Special thanks to Marshall Henderson for his wonderful friendship and hosting while I was in North Carolina.

Another big tip of the hat as well to Don and Geri Dixon of Kites Unlimited for their long history of making happy kitefliers on the Crystal Coast."
