Reef Runner Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Anyone having any problems with the website. I keep getting error messages when I click on a different link, within the website, and sometimes, when I initially try to get onto the website. I've removed all Kitelife cookies, I've tried to access the website by simply typing in the "www.kitelife.com" address, vs using my bookmark, but it seems to make no difference. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing anything strange ? 1 Quote
Wayne Dowler Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Happens here too! Click a topic and get a memory error message. Not always, but enough to be a pain!! Quote
Reef Runner Posted September 29, 2015 Author Report Posted September 29, 2015 That's what I'm getting. I emailed JB, but haven't heard back yet ! Quote
Reef Runner Posted September 29, 2015 Author Report Posted September 29, 2015 It seems to be getting worse. Just took me about 10 minutes to finally get on. Many tries, just to finally get on Wonder what is going on. I hope Kitelife isn't getting ready to "crash and burn" Come on, JB to the rescue ! Quote
Wayne Dowler Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 He's just got back from a Detroit clinic, so it might be a while before he gets this! Quote

RobB Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Sounds like the server may need a reboot... I've seen this on & off over the last week, too. Quote
Reef Runner Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 Sounds like the server may need a reboot... I've seen this on & off over the last week, too. Hey Rob, the Master speaks..............get to JB, if you can, because I know you can speak his language, and explain what is going on ! All the rest of us know, is that something is "wrong"........... Quote
RobB Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Oh, I'm sure he knows how to deal with it. I'm a hardware guy, all my fixes involve the 'BIG HAMMER' theory... 1 Quote

John Barresi Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Hi guys, sorry for the delay in responding... Sadly, the two components of our website (front end and forum) are proving to be too much for our server. I am currently researching solutions - upgrading the server is cost-prohibitive for us, so mostly looking at possible software improvements. Still at a loss right now, but I am working on this - thanks for posting about it, and for your patience. 1 Quote
Reef Runner Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 OH NO ! If John can't fix it, what will we do Quote
John Barresi Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Ok, looks like maybe it had to do with bloated databases - hopefully better now, please post here if you run into more problems. Thanks! 1 Quote
Reef Runner Posted October 1, 2015 Author Report Posted October 1, 2015 None today ! I knew you could do it.................. 1 Quote
