  1. Only if he uses 300# lines, eh? Yeah, good luck with that.
  2. We've got a vented Rev for ya, no problem. Hey Monks... "Continued on back" Eat my dust.
  3. ROFL - Oh yeah, you better practice.
  4. Bless you Bill, come fly with us anytime!
  5. JD, you're already registered for Berkeley... NIB, NIP, EMB and EMP. Bring some music!
  6. The AKA appendix will be available shortly.
  7. Greetings, You can now find the updated IRBC Rules, Judges and Compulsories books (PDF format) on the World Sport Kite web site... These documents are effective for AKA competition as of August 1st, 2006. http://www.worldsportkite.com/irbc.htm Please note, there is an IRBC bulletin on the same page which clarifies the wording in two sections which were overlooked during the approval process... Corrections will be made to the hard copy during the next revision, scheduled for July of 2007. Competitors are invited to attend the Sport Kite Symposium for discussion and education regarding the new rules books, at the AKA Grand Nationals and Convention to be held in Des Moines, IA this October.
  8. He earned that moniker too... JD flew such a hot demo with his Sea Devil in Brookings a couple weeks ago, the announcer verbally tripped between saying his name and how fabulous the routine was! "Ladies and gentlemen, JD Fabulous... Err, JD Fabich, wasn't that fabulous?!?" Well flown man, I still say that routine would have pushed top three at many masters ballet events in the NWSKL. Good thing you won't be working your way through Novice and Experienced for the next couple years... I don't envy your fellow competitors though, they'll have their work cut out for them.
  9. 360's.
  10. We've just added three new videos to the Kitelifers subscriber area, two demos and a full 6 minute medley video of the festival... We're pretty fond of this latest medley too, which can be found at the bottom of the "festivals" section at Kitelifers. http://www.kitelifers.com All three new videos are 720x480 (nice big size), and the two demo videos are accompanied by iPod versions for those of you with portable media... The demo vids can be found on the "demos" page at Kitelifers. We've got more stuff in the works too, look for news here or in your email!
  11. In 1987, Don Tabor from Top Of The Line Kites filed this patent on a dual line controllable sport kite... http://www.delphion.com/details?pn=US04736914__ Can you imagine where we'd be today if he still held the patent and companies had to pay royalties on portions of their kite designs?
  12. Yay! Thanks for posting the photo Rob. Now, bone up on RandyG's videos and you'll be a trick machine in no time!
  13. That's a beauty... Gotta love those fractals! Welcome to the forum Eugene, don't forget to say hello at Berkeley.
  14. Demented!!!! Is that my old buddy from the IRC wars??
  15. Very cool ant man, we'd be glad to have you. Regular forum users get 5MB of photo storage, signing up would increase your album space to 100MB.
  16. Oh man... I love a good SUL, especially in 3-5 mph. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  17. I'm always asking for trouble, but I have the luck to match.
  18. Sorry, what picture? I don't think I've seen that one... Probably.
  19. Alas, "Wind Junkie" is actually copyrighted... No can do. I can do anything like that... I just need a logo idea to go with the text. You have to order through the store Penny... As I mentioned, I don't have any of that stuff physically in stock, CafePress makes it on demand, when someone places an order, and ships it to them directly. http://www.cafepress.com/kitelife They do take any of the major credit or debit cards though (i.e. Visa/MC)... The CafePress site is 100% secure, no worries... If the shop comes up okay on dial up for you, you'll have no problem going through their shopping cart. Worst case scenario, place the order from work. Don't forget, the $5 discount is only good through 7/26.
  20. ROFL!!! No photos, PLEASE.
  21. Buggygruven is done! http://www.cafepress.com/kitelife/1651719
  22. I'll second that... NEVER assume the first twists you see are real. Right off, there are almost always twists going X direction at one end and Y direction at the other... If you pull all four lines taut, or walk those twists together, you'll find that almost all of them disappear. Certainly, for those twists that are left... It's easier to walk them down to the handles, and pass one handle through the other to get them out. If you paired them off as described, it's nearly impossible that you'll have to disconnect a line and work it out.
  23. Ah yes, "pairing" the R-L lines... Simple way to do it... 1. Larkshead the left bottom line onto the left top line 2. Larkshead the right bottom line onto the left right line 3. Treat the right and left as two lines now, and wind them up. I generally leave my handles on for this... But when I need to swap off handles, I just repeat the pairing at the handle end too. I haven't had a tangle in 10 years or so... Seriously. Thanks for bringing that to attention T.
