  1. Found a great item in the My Controls area under "Board Settings"... Might be new with this latest upgrade, I'd never seen it before. "Type of text editor to use when posting" (Rich Text Editor requires either IE6, Mozilla or Firefox) If you use any recent versions of the web browsers listed, changing this option to "Rich Text Editor" will make coding "live" in your posts... So instead of a bunch of BBCODE (i.e. , , , etc), you'll get something more like MS Word where your changes are actually visible while you are working the post. I like this feature a lot, since I can see the post as it will appear when I send it.
  2. The attachment worked Penny... Just have to save it to my computer, then open it... Inside there is a link to the main article (that works).
  3. Great job Jo! Keep it up... It will get easier. Especially with an SUL.
  4. Check this out... http://www.kitelife.com/archives/issue40/l...ind40/index.htm
  5. Hi! The SUL has a 2 wrap frame (compared to 3 wrap in the EXP), making it quite a bit more fragile... I would say that the 2 wraps are not forgiving. However, the SUL will fly down to about 3 mph with ease... The EXP goes down to about 5-6 mph with ease... Would certainly be motivation to gain more control.
  6. Wierd... I put up a login thing for another site, and it rolled over to the Kitelife home page. Got it removed for the moment, until I figure it out. Should be working a-ok now.
  7. A Wind of Change is 100% reputable... Kent Kingston is a good guy, and has been a supporter of Kitelife for almost 2 years now.
  8. Had to upgrade the forum software for security reasons, please be patient while we add modifications/graphics back in.

  12. to me... to me... Still the baby!
  13. There are also links to several galleries, posted on GWTW. http://gwtw-kites.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28666
  14. I love it when my lines sing... As long as they're not belting out ACDC or high acapella.
  15. Over 20mph, vented is ideal... With a 4 wrap LE, and maybe even a 3 wrap LE laid in next to it. You can still fly a full sail, but it's a lot of kite to handle.
  16. See if MonkeyBoy has similar issues, he runs a MAC sometimes.
  17. FYI - While a 4 wrap is good for general use, the SLE may be the order of the day for a Berkeley afternoon... Winds are often in the 20mph range.
  18. Hehehehe... I love pre-prize drawing swordplay.
  19. They're MPEG... And pretty darned big. Are you saving to your hard drive before viewing them? I generally use Windows Media Player, been working fine with these.
  20. Mike, it depends... What are the average wind conditions you get on your home field?
  21. Hi gang, We've just added high definition versions of the top five ballet routines from World Sport Kite Championships in Berck sur Mer France, this April... They're REAL big at about 260MB or so apiece, but the viewing quality is much better. http://www.kitelife.com/members (look near the bottom of the page) Remember, you need a Kitelife subscription to get in... If you're not a subscriber, you can sign up here: http://www.kitelife.com/subscribe Thanks to those of you who help us keep the site going, we plan on adding more high def videos for ya'll!
  22. Good, I'll have at least two to school.
