  1. 42 custom kites will be delivered this week, stay tuned.
  2. Been looking forward to this pilot’s feedback, and here we have it! https://www.facebook.com/100000017798156/posts/2243431622334076/
  3. Congrats on the quick sale, locking this thread as we usually do when they’re completed. 👍🏻
  4. How about a fork in the road... Extend and share the link around Facebook a bit to drum up entries, or we can draw as is and close our karma drawings until the Spring when folks get more active (I’ll start the first one myself if needed). Thoughts?
  5. Welcome @Flap Floblem, we’ve got a few folks here within reach of you - good winds!
  6. 🔥💥🔥Disclaimer: driver is experienced, kite pilot has 28 years experience in a huge variety of extreme flight situations, this was not done lightly - do NOT try this at home! 🔥💥🔥 The Djinn HV performed pretty much as expected, super smooth and great handling of peak apparent wind speeds in excess of 30-45 mph... Just a little more tweaking and I’ll have a real high wind monster on my hands. 😎 Huge thanks to @Carl Norman for jetting me around the lot today, nothing like going fast in a sexy car while flying a kite - okay, maybe 45mph isn’t that fast but I sure feels like it when facing backward with four lines in your hands. 🤘🤘
  7. I’d love of get me some of that... Instead, I’ll be flying them off the back of @Carl Norman‘s convertible Corvette tomorrow - will try to get some video. 😎
  8. XT = extra vent HV = hardcore vent What Riff said.
  9. And the work begins!
  10. So cool to see kites arriving.
  11. New prize is up, locking this one down - please do follow ups by PM, reach out to me if an intermediary is needed for any reason. https://kitelife.com/forum/topic/9296-karma-111018-prism-micron/
  12. Nice one, good fun addition to anyone’s bag. 👍🏻
  13. Glad we had a chance to look at the Kymera together.
  14. Thanks for the update Chip, understood - we’ve had a couple of bad rounds as of late, just trying to keep the good juices flowing. ✌️
  15. A grand total of 76 Djinns are now with or on their way to their owners, stay tuned for updates on our next shipment which should be all customs.
  16. @makatakam‘s comment aside... @chip.lennep, can you provide a target date for the new drawing? We try to stay on top of it, matter of give and take, ebb and flow, plus it’s in the karma drawing rules. Thanks in advance! ✌️
  17. Well said, I feel exactly the same with my own flights on the Djinn. 🤘
  18. Great review Riff, no debate here, thank you! 🙏🏻
  19. While I will be working on full length tutorials as weather and time allow, here is a basic intro to the Sync Bridle for those of you not on Facebook. Summary for using the limiter adjustment on the Djinn: My favorite knot (x) for an ideal wind range, second from the inside... ————O—-xO——O——O (end) Shortening the distance between top and bottom decks of the bridle favors center sail compression, sharper response. Lengthening that distance makes a more traditional “pull the leading edge” type of flight easier and reduces sensitivity (good for upper wind ranges when the kite is getting squirrelly). There is also a slight increase in max forward speed when the limiter is lengthened. More formal content is planned for the future, as well as more “on the spot” bits like this - thanks all, can’t wait to see the kite express themselves very differently in each of your hands. ☺️ Also FYI, all Djinns come standard on the middle setting like this: ————O——O—-xO——O (end) Feel free to post any follow up questions here. 👍🏻
  20. That was fast! We’ve just delivered / shipped the first 32 kites (including Riff’s), the next 45 kites are on their way to our office as we speak. I know it’s small comfort (if any) but the manufacturing timeline really got thrown by the massive number of custom orders (roughly 35%-40%), added a lot of one by one labor to the process as opposed to the stock colors (assembly line sail cutting). No excuse, merely explaining, I trust you’ll bear with the challenges in favor of receiving great kites in exchange for your patience. 🙏🏻
  21. I've only flown on Ohau, no idea - but fly one for all of us!
  22. The first batch of Djinns is being finished as we speak, just down to leading edges and parts assembly now - our factory is working hard to deliver the first box to us sometime in the next couple of weeks, thanks for your ongoing support and patience! 🤙
