So I broke a p90 spar today playing around immobile objects. Where do you recommend I buy one? This is for my lightweight sail that is mostly flown in 6 and below.

Can you add a "in search of" (ISO) or "wanted to buy" (WTB) category? Or make them sub categories under the 4 main?

You did great for 5 to 7 winds and first time on a quad. Keep us up to date on your flying progression.

I would get the Djinn Mid Vent!! I think my winds are different from yours, more steady with smaller gusts ranges. I can tell you my mid gets 75 percent of my total flying time, in 6 or 7 to 13 to 15 mph range quite often. With P300 spars in it the range has been very good to keep it flying. As someone else said, when the gust pick up for that brief time fly to the edge of the window and plat till it drops back down. The Djinn MV comes with the mystic 14 spars which are 3 grams lighter than my P300's per spar! So I think you will get a lot more flying time on the low end of the wind.

If yours has the stock leaders, ie... about 4 inches long, than yes longer with a lot more knots for adjustments, which in time you will use these knots to adjust the top of your kite, towards and away from you, according to the wind and as you want it to fly. The stock leaders are just too short causing the kite to have too much forward/up flight, by lengthening them you will have a more controlled, neutral, flight. I typically do not let my lines lay for long, always watching when I do. The longest is to park it for a drink then right back at it, on my feet flying for 2 to 3 to 4 hours. I don't think beach goers for the most part are going to see the lines no matter what color!! Enjoy and keep us posted. If you need any more help, don't be afraid to ask.

Thanks Breezin, this vented has been rode hard that's for sure. It has been taped, glued, stitched, and screwed!! One more won't hurt it. I just checked Edmond Dragut , it has not worn into center horizontal spar. We have good winds, I'm out!!!

The top center bridle line wore through the backside of the leading edge

Is the center star a mesh also? very cool... Equal to a mid vent?

are you cutting it to the length of the center panel? also are the leading edge tabs on both sides?

It may feel heavier and be a little slower in the air. I can tell you after following JWharton for a few months, I think he took the postal oath... Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom will keep me from flying!!
