I agree. I always try to help out the local guy. I went 1 hour out of my way, paid $10 more and had to wait for them to get it but got an extra 2 wrap frame from a new shop just South of here. If they stay close to the online prices I will try to give them some business. It is just so easy to order online at a good price and in a few days its at the door.

Kite shops and retailers in general, beware. The consumer now has a voice. To kind of keep the mood in an up swing, what kite seller do you use you like? I like Midwestkites I have used them all this year and so far (5 orders) so good. Seems like a large mom and pop shop. They are HAPPY to talk to you on the phone and the web pages are updated constantly showing what is new or out of stock. When ever I make a special order (ie colors) it comes up on the web page as a “for Denny only” item when it comes in and email from them. Oh yea, they have great prices to after the first purchase you get a nice discount. Revolution has them listed as a seller of Revs which pointed me there the first time.

I have to re-log on at work but not at home which is how I want it. At work I clear the history,cache and cookies when I leave for the day. Perhaps you have your browser set to delete cookies or clear cache? I do at work and don't at home.

That says it all!!!! I will never even go to the web store of someone like that and never do business with them. Thanks for putting the word out. If more people did this the bad guys would go out of business and the good guys would pay even more attention to the buyers.

I have always said the only way I will get into 2 line kites is if someone gives me one. This could be bad. What if I like it?

I could undwind them at the same time but I would have to figure out a way to wind them up in one pass too.

It's just a thought but check out the local library. It always amazes me what they have.

They are available all right. I have 3 for sale. Don't get me wrong, Rev has alway made the best available product and I have loved my 1.5s (4) with the SLE. Make an offer.

They go from translucent to a bright shade of pink on the Florida beach after only a few hours. It sometimes stays that way for days then blisters and starts again. SADLY, Like I said. I'm a PINK person. It is so sad at the beach. This white boy does not tan......just pink, red, reallly red, peel, begin again!!! But at least I do respect other people and their space!! P It’s not a slur my friend. It’s just what we call tourist. I have heard and used “shoobee” too but I have known idea what it means or where it came from. None of them are used in vain (well not always ).

I am with you Quad Kit. I have 3 sets of SLEs we can put in the pile of 'what do we do with these'. After reading the forum I went out and got all the ¼” wraps and cannot believe the difference plus you get to pick the wrap for the wind. I feel like I have rediscovered my Revs. I can't see ever using any of the SLEs again. MMmmmm I wonder what they would be good for? I bet by the end of the year they sell the 1.5 without the SLE.

The one thing I have learned how to do is put up with tourist. I was born and raised in Miami and lived on Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island the rest of the time . Their subconscious point is that they are paying hundred of dollars a day to be there and deserve to be treated that way by everyone they confront. They generally have no respect for the locals or anyone else, even each other. Oh yea, they drive like sh*t to. I remind myself every day that tourist are the reason Florida has no income tax and try to smile and go on my way. Of course there are limits but I have been known to stretch them to the max when it comes to the pink people (that’s what I call them). The best I can do is when I come to your city on my vacation I will try to act right.

Doesn't the EXP have a 3 wrap LE? I think that soon, talk a wrap associated with a certain kite will be a thing of the past. I totally enjoy flying the vented with 2, 3 and 4 wrap all round and mixing them up. I mix them up with the standard 1.5 too but, the vented seems to be more fun, if the wind permits. I finally took the LSE out of my bag and leave it at home.

I have a free day on saterday, depending on what my co-workers are up to I might just rent a car and head over to Cocoa Beach to meet up with you. Looking forward to flying with you. I'll keep you posted. great just let me know when.

That is a great looking vented. Did he sell it to you with the 1/4 " le? What wrap? It sure sounds like you guys are haveing a fantastic time.

Sleeving or resleeving a line set is extremely easy! When you buy the sleeving it will have instructions with them on how to best tie the knots. It is super easy to do. Even if you totally mess it up all you have to do is untie it and do it again. If they have glued the set you have just cut off the sleeves and put new ones on. As long as all 4 lines are the same you are ok. A 119’ 10” set is just as good a 120’. If you are a new flyer and already have 2 120’ sets I sure don’t see a reason to put out the cash to get another one. They don’t ware out for years! You mention in another post you are going to Orlando and bringing your kites. If I were you I would think about taking an hour trip either east or west to fly on one of Florida fantastic beaches. There will be a big difference in wind. I fly on Cocoa Beach so if you do head that way PM or email me and I will go fly with you.
