  1. Welcome to the wonderful world of kiting!! I have a couple Symphony 1.8's, one on a bar, one with straps. A couple 1.7's, a 1.4,and larger. My go to high wind kite is the 1.8 with 320# lines. In winds above 20 that kite is an absolute thrill to fly. I recommend upgrading the lines, I've popped a many 150# linesets with that kite.

    E-cigs ? Vaping ?

26 months for me. I'm down to 6mg nicotine. Nicotine restricts blood flow. I have lower back trouble and I've had numerous Dr's tell me until I'm nicotine free, I'll never be pain free.

I love the prep pads for the exact thing. I don't see why your tank is requiring that much maintenance. I sometimes get that gurgling you're talking about, usually happens when filling tank and some liquid gets in the center hole. That's when I run a alcohol pad through it.

What are you cleaning and how? I never clean any of mine other than an alcohol prep pads on/in the drip tip.
  5. I decided against drawing on a napkin, so, I printed up a dozen of my design on some shirts... Pics in a few days.
  6. Would this be considered whumpped?
  7. I recently acquired this kite of his by GFAK. 11 ' wingspan. Haven't flown it yet.
  8. You need about 10 days off Jim, figuring travel time and all.
  9. The above pic is not actually at Noriega Point, but Pensacola Beach.
  10. Maybe this will help fill the remaining spots... Taken last week!
  11. I don't have a Rev bag yet, but, I do have a kite ROOM in my house...
  12. I've broken a 3 wrap leading edge crashing at an angle flying at Ft. Pickens in high winds..
  13. Congratulations!!! You will never be the same...
  14. It is in fact working for Android now.
  15. Especially on the outside of the handles, a cutting wheel on a Dremel works wonders.
  16. When you remove the hog clip you must drill out the ends of the handles to remove the burrs from when the handles were originally made.
  17. I've seen Terry Rankin Rev painting and he does a good job with his Rev. He uses 30' lines and really makes it look easy.
  18. I use a modified version of the DIY snag less handles. Same anchor, but no screw. A shaft going through the handle and the mini line you speak of is larks headed to that. The screw method pinches the line, where this method doesn't.
  19. I break the kite down every time and wind up the lines on the winder. I have a sweet little night fly spot downtown Pensacola,No kite lights needed. It's a circular little grassy area surrounded by street lamps, fully lit all night, usually a nice breeze coming in off the bay and 50' or less lines are required. Otherwise you're hitting the light poles...
  20. Ditto everything Matt said. We give lessons and demos at Kitty Hawks kite fests here in Florida and we push the Quantum. It's a very durable and tough great flying kite. I don't own a pro, but I do own about 4 of them and I love them. I even have one that is a dedicated night kite, I've sewn fairy lights all around the leading and trailing edges of the kite and also add about 8-10 iNova microlights and it handles the additional weight like a champ. You can't go wrong with a Quantum, and at around a hundred bucks or so, it's really a sweet deal. Another great kite is a Revolution. Total control over every aspect of the kite. If you like dual lines, you'll LOVE quad line flying!

    E-cigs ? Vaping ?

November will be 2 years for me without a cigarette. I know in my heart that eCigs saved my life. I love my chocolate and also Marlboro flavors of eLiquid. Infact, I wear 2 around my neck, one of each flavor. Just yesterday I turned on another kiter to the joys of vaping. I use the top feed tank system and absolutely love it.
