  1. Had the SuperBlast (older version of the PowerBlast 2-4) out for a spin today. Wind: variable, 9-13 mph. Almost laid me down a couple of times. That's my B-Pro midvent in the background. Photo courtesy of Bill Meier, basicbill on the forums.
  2. How many kites do you have, like total? Thousands?
  3. I saw one on eBay about a year and a half ago. They don't show up very often. Good luck, I hope you can find one.
  4. Yeah, don't know how I missed it? Great show.
  5. Gonna fly to The Curly Shuffle?
  6. I always carry a spare pair in my kite bag! You never know... I carry spare socks too, just in case it runs down my leg.
  7. I have a park two blocks away (unrant).
  8. Really cool lighting lighting on that indoor. I would like to see the entire video of that one.
  9. Damn the weather! Ok, I'm done.
  10. Yeah that is what I was thinking. I am going to Norway next year and contemplating a travel kit, there is one on eBay right now and after parting out the kite and other non essential Items I could get it the bag and frame for about $20. With that said, Prism makes a hard travel case this is small enough for carry on and I may go that route instead. I hear the travel frame flys different, I have some extra ferrels that I had cut so that I can make my own travel kit but hate to waste a good frame just to cut it up for one trip. Un decided. I believe that Prism has discontinued making that hard case, so unless you can find a used one, or a Prism kite that comes with it, ........
  11. You would be much happier owning a Zephyr, so the Kymera can come home to me!
  12. Stacking different sizes is doable, it's called a "progressive stack", small kite goes in front because the large in front would block wind from the others. Different models is possible, but not often done. Don't know why. It could be fun.
  13. Do you have any Revs? Have you ever flown a Rev? I thought you were just starting out. I'm confused.
  14. Wind of Change has the Rev 1, new, at $239 kite only, so at $289 RTF it's not a bad deal.
  15. Never had any problem, they will dry out without any effort on your part. Just leave them out of the kite bag if they are soaking wet. You can leave them wound up and they will dry within a day or two at the most, unless you live in a sauna. Or leave them outside for a few hours on a sunny day. Put them on a sunny windowsill for a day. Best way is to go fly the kite the next day, ha ha. Really. Lines dry out, you have more fun. Sounds like a good reason to get them wet.
  16. Trickable, mid-size, straight-tracking. Great for solo or team flying. Standard, UL, and SUL sails available. Frequently used by David from Chicago Kite/Kite Harbor for demos and team at festivals in my area. (Illinois) I have seen it flown. Elegant design, looks great in the sky. I think you'll like it.
  17. "Dive, dead stop and hover", more commonly called "Dive Stop" is a beginner move and usually the first cool move a beginner learns, so that should be in category 1. Of course, this move can be done in any direction. It is merely more dramatic in the vertical, from up to down, but is done at any angle, including going up.
