  1. I'm planning on being on this evening probably around 8 or so Eastern Standard Time, if anyone would like to join me in the chat. I would like to maybe brainstorm on ways we (as a community) can help JB with his efforts to spread kiting to the world, and buy a reliable car in the process. His raffles are great, but that's coming completely from him and one would think that eventually he will run out of kites. I hope some folks will join me.
  2. We can definitely fly after, or before, or if you're talented, during.
  3. That's more what I was thinking. Not an all the time open access chat room, but a venue we could use to schedule topical discussions, with someone being responsible as the moderator for the discussion to keep it on topic.
  4. JB, have you ever considered adding a live chat interface? It could be cool to have a venue where online members could have live discussions.
  5. When I win your services for a weekend, John. I want you to teach me to fly like that.
  6. Congratulations, Hasek. That should definitely be a crowd stopper. I don't care what you are putting up, I'm in!
  7. Thanks. That looks like a hell of a bag!
  8. Can you share some more pictures? Not a lot of detail at that website.
  9. A big thanks goes out to you bbailey49. It's good to know there are still good folks left in the world. After seeing that I missed this opportunity, I was contacted by Lolly at Revolution, informing me that my Brand-New bag was just completed and is shipping out from Cali tomorrow!!!!! I love that new kite bag smell so I'm very excited after being on the waiting list for such a long time. Sent from my iPad using http://tapatalk.com/m?id=1'>Tapatalk It was nothing, but remembering that I saw your post inquiring about availability of the bags. I'm just glad it all worked out in the end.
  10. Scott, if you still have problems let me know your count and I'll just add it to the list.
  11. Nick, your description of an occasional tight spin to the left leaves me to believe that you are snagging one of your lines somewhere on the kite, dramatically changing the effective length of that line. I would check my line lengths. It's desirable that they all be the same, but critical that the tops are the same length and the bottoms are the same length. It takes a little practice to learn the difference between quad line and dual line flying. Keep watching the vids and hopefully you can find someone to fly with. Good Winds
  12. NylonSky has been inquiring about rev bags. I sent him a PM to give him a heads up.
  13. I've only flown with the big leading edge in a 1.5 size Rev once. It was miserable. Now I keep it as spares for my sonic vented. Since you have a super sonic, Nick, that would be an option for you as well. Let us know how it goes.
  14. That is great! Those are some really beautiful kites they have pictured too.
  15. Start with the 3-wrap. Unless the wind is blowing more than 18 or so, the three wrap will be much more forgiving to fly. The leading edge needs to flex for the best performance.
  16. Congratulations, Nick. I hope you enjoy it!
  17. It looks good at night. Can't wait to see daylight pics too. Congrats again. It obviously went to a good home
  18. I like your nickname over there!
  19. That would be way over my head in a programming sense, but you can check here http://kitelife.com/forum/forum/59-favorite-kite-fields/ and see if there's someone around you.
  20. I'm pretty sure JB does the approving over there as well, Scott. so a PM to him would probably get your problem straightened out.
  21. All, Just wanted to let you know that I am helping out JB by taking over managing the Global Rev Count on the Rev Forum: http://www.revkites.com/forum/topic/531-global-rev-count/. We need your input to help us determine how many Revs are out there in the world. Right now I'm still using the same bulk counting method that John was using. However, I am working on a new system that will include numbers of each Rev model so that we can see a breakdown of popularity among the many different Revs out there. So hop on over and tell me how many you have and I will put you on the list. Thanks a bunch---Barton
