John Barresi
We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. Click here for subscription info! Okay, this one is going to come across as being a little shameless, but this is the prize we've got for you! == B-Series Revolution 1.5 - Vented(MSRP $340 - prize includes line set) Based on the original Rev 1.5 design, the John Barresi Signature Series is the ideal choice for any hard core precision or competition flier... After 17 years of competition and nine national quad line championships, John has utilized a number of modifications and features which make this a true high performance package. To keep you competitive, the B-Series Vented comes with two frames... One 3-wrap (UL) and one 4-wrap (Revolution Equipped), giving you the versatility of being able to switch your frames based on the current wind, and you can also slide one leading edge in parallel with the second leading edge when the wind is up, effectively doubling your leading edge strength. The B-Series handles are 13" long, and come with a pre-tied adjustment knot system which enables you to increase or decrease the reverse control. Last but not least, the B-Series also comes with a weight kit, two 2 gram lead weights fit neatly into the end of your spars, and are secured with a short tail... Also included is a dedicated DVD, and a ready to fly line set (80'x90#)... Prize kite is black/aqua (as pictured), videos below show this model in action. | | | Info on the Rev site: http://www.revkites.com/main/Barresi_Series Kitelife kite review: http://www.kitelife.com/archives/issue52/b...ies52/index.htm == Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/263 (as of 12/1/08), and will be drawn on January 15th, 2009! Jeepster
Are we there yet ... why not ... that's so long. That kite would fit right in with future plans that are being made. I can't wait ... even with a probablility of only 0.38% it's better odds than the lotto. Can I talk to Mr. Random? Neat prize John, thanks for offering it up! Cheers, Tom
quaa714
Shameless my butt!!!!!!!!! Nothing shameless about offering up a great kite that everyone wants. I mean really now.......Who wouldn't want a brand new B series? Doubt you'll see anyone saying "nah, I don't want it"
John Barresi
Aye, it is a little ways off... But we try and do these things every 4-6 weeks. With the prize value being what it is, this being a slower time of the year, and all kinds of goodies going up for grabs over on the Rev forum, I thought it only fair to put this out to the full six weeks (approx)... But, you can look forward to a couple more of these coming up in the 2009 prize drawings. Now, go fly! <grin>
Jeepster
But, you can look forward to a couple more of these coming up in the 2009 prize drawings. John, Please promise not to put up a mid-vent B-series in Lime ... you know, with line and all. I'll never get to sleep if you do that. Cheers, Tom

Jeepster
Wow man!!!!With all due respect...........and a healthy bit of jealousy, didn't you just come away with a beautiful SUL???? Did I say I was jealous????? Still waiting for that gosh darn random number generator thingamabob to spit out my number!!!!!!!!!! quaa, Yes, I was very luck to be given a UL iQuad style kite. And, trust me I"m elated. But, as to jealous, yep, been there and done that too. Was so green with envy of Choccy grabbing a Purple B-series right out from under my nose ... 5% probability of success and you think Mr. Random would look my way? Nope, not even close. So, if I can't get one with a 5% probability, I'm positive that I'll never get drawn when the probability is less than 0.5%. So, knowing my luck, I can easily sluff off missing most drawings ... and a neat kite in the "kite bag" makes it even easier ... but, it really would make me stay up late if John put the next kite I'm dreaming about in the drawing. John Barresi
Jim, you are #458... But I'm trimming out the fancy signatures as I find time. Simply, there's no way to automate the addition/removal of those as people sign up or expire. However, please feel free to include your sub number in your signature, no worries. Edited December 3, 2008 by Kitelife Just went through and updated all the signatures in this topic.

streamhawk
ah, since I only have the B standard, this would be the next logical step. Nice prize, good luck to all. Bill
rawveeda
Pass me towel or sleeve. A complete package with lines. Nice. Real nice. I may have stepped aside for the indoor rev. But I know a vent would get much more flying time. Especially flying with Antman, Rich & Brad. Something always breaks around those guys (and we aint talkin bout the wind).
