I've never had so much fun with a kite, as I do with my B2, and I have never flown it with anything, other than "black race rods" and 50# LPG (usually 85 - 100 foot, but I've also got 50 & 120 foot lengths that get used on occasion). I ordered the kite with the race rod upgrade, and I have never really seen the need to change. Did I mention I love the speed !! (I suppose this should be under another topic, but I couldn't help commenting. We'll have Matt really messed up, if we keep talking about these B2's) 1 Quote

I'm surprised at the #50 line, most shops recommend #150! <br /><br /><br />Tapatalk for iPhone. Quote
Wayne Dowler Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 150# ? Where did you see that? Because of the size, you can get away with the lighter 50# lines, especially in medium winds! I used to substitute my son's Rev2 into my old Rev1 setup in really high winds and that was 150#, but that was all I had at the time! Last summer at WSIKF I flew it on 90# no problem!! Lighter lines bring out the performance features of the sail, IMHO!! Quote

I would love to see a "Production XtraVent B series" Not a Pro, but a lower cost XtraVent in all the Regular B Series Colours. I think the Standard and the Vent Make a great starting pair though. 1 Quote

Outdoor season is getting ready to go full out and it really depends on the wind condition, whether the xtra-vent is needed! That said, we've been using the xtra a lot in the last few weeks!! Quote
Dean750 Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 I don't know if its been mentioned but your full sail with the race frame fly's fairly well indoors. Just a thought... So with just the std and vented you've got about a 30 mph wind range with the 3 frames, 90#, 150# and a couple short lite line sets. Quote
