John Barresi Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 I'm pondering the use of a dictionary style definition of "whump" on a shirt design as well... Format example: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/thump Would be fun to see both serious and humorous definitions included. Anyone have good wording? Quote

mystainedskin Posted February 23, 2014 Author Report Posted February 23, 2014 I would assume this could remain open a little longer ... being the man is over seas at the moment. 1 Quote

RaginCajun Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 It's all good. There's a lot of really great ideas presented. I've already made and printed mine up.. Hahaha Quote
Codywater Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Hey Cody, I'd wear that shirt... Looks good ! ~Rob. Thanks Rob! The definition can be changed to pretty much anything if anyone has a better idea. Quote
John Barresi Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Had some free time, thought I'd toss out a design. Enjoy! I'm liking this definition, although we'll probably get away from the clear Rev shape itself because "whump" is sort of universal and branded to a style of flying, not just one particular kite. Use the JB dragon logo instead maybe? 2 Quote

John Barresi Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Cody, can you repost the definition as copy/paste functional text here? Quote
John Barresi Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 FYI, official close of this contest will be tomorrow at noon, PST... All additional submissions are welcome, so far the win looks like it may go to an amalgamated version between Wheeler's "Got Whump" and Cody's definition text, coupled with the JB dragon and URL. If indeed the win is split, I'll double the prize(s)... One shirt and renewal for both winners. 3 Quote
Codywater Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Here are a few, including a .png with just the text. 1 Quote
Codywater Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Or if you want it this way: Whump verb \ˈwhəmp\ 1 : to fill a kite sail with air, creating pressure in the sail 2 : to quickly pull taut the lines of a kite, creating power through short, precise movement 3 : johnbarresi.com 2 Quote
