  1. Look for the video link near the bottom of this page... http://www.kitelife.com/archives/ktai06/1-6/index.htm I flew the Freestylist in '06 and really enjoyed it, really well made.
  2. Glad to hear it, they are good folks.
  3. Great stuff.
  4. When in doubt, always feel free to email me for the info.
  5. Sorry Amy, misread... Was Carl's post, not yours. Edited to suit.
  6. Just got one of the Drachen/Rev anniversary shirts... Very cool. Amy Carl, no other problems reported... Sounds like a local issue, on your machine.
  7. Cheers Denny, thank you, and welcome to the forum!
  8. Hi folks, a little over a month ago we started getting reports of downloader scripts and trojan warnings from a some of our visitors when they would load up Kitelife... After some extensive research and hours of searching our site's code, this little pearl landed in our lap: http://www.wired.com/techbiz/media/news/2007/11/doubleclick Indeed, Kitelife was using some Doubleclick based ads, but they are being removed from every page on the site as we speak. Starting tomorrow afternoon, if ANYONE experiences these problems, please send us an email and tell us what page you had the problem on. Thanks for your patience, and support.
  9. Very nice indeed! Damien is quite good with that Nirvana, nice combos.
  10. I will say, Berkeley not only taught me a lot about high wind flying in the summers... But ever so much about light wind flying over the winter. One of these days, I'll tell you how the axel was invented... It happened right there at Cesar Chavez. Flying on those swirling, low wind days are some of my fondest memories.
  11. I flew at the Berkeley field nearly every day between 1990 and 1994... During that time, I'm sad to say, winds seemed light all over the bay area. Might be worth watching the forecasts, but I wouldn't hope for too much. San Francisco (Chrissy Field or Ocean Beach) might be better, but I'm not sure.
  12. A quick tease... Actual performance video to come, in the next 2 weeks.
  13. MrDenny, you can find iQuad gear on the team's web site.
  14. I'm in Sydney now, on my way to Perth for our last show of the year... Look for a report in Kitelife.
  15. My most common typo error on the Kitelife domain... http://www.kitelie.com Maybe I'll make a blog, where we can post lies about all the kite fliers in the world. Nah, I'd probably bear the brunt of that idea. LOL
  16. Great pics Wen, a pleasure to see you guys, as always. FYI, I cleaned up the links... Just put 'em in normal with http://, the forum will auto-parse (link) them.
  17. Check out this thread on the Rev forum... http://www.revkites.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=783 48 Revs, in a HUGE mega fly.
  18. This has been an amazing trip, I will try to do it justice in our Kitelife report.
  19. Links worked okay for me.
  20. Caught up with Wen and Litsong today, as well as the rest of the folks from Taiwan, Miki and Linda from Flying Colors, some of Air-Rex and the leader of Team Niji. Friday night went well, off to bed now... Big day tomorrow!
  21. Well folks, here I sit at PDX waiting for my flight to Tokyo... I'll be at the Tokyo Bay Flight Party in Japan this weekend, meeting all of our quad brothers on the other side of the Pacific! I'm really looking forward to this trip, it's been a dream of mine to fly in Japan ever since I started in the early 90's... I'll be participating in individual competition, assisting with workshops, judging team events and adding my kite to the grand total for mega fly attempts. The biggest known Rev mega fly in history was earlier this year in Kasai, where they flew 43 Revolutions at the same time! I'll be sure to get as much video and photos as I can during the trip, and bring you a full report for the next issue of Kitelife. I return on Monday, then leave immediately the next day for our last Red Bull show of the year in Perth, Australia. Cheers, and thanks for your ongoing support.
  22. Aha, 3 wraps (marked "Ultra Light" on the labels) should have held up in 13 mph with no problem. I'd recommend you post this on the Rev forum, and Ben should be able to address the issue with you once the SoCal fires calm down. FYI... On the rare occasion I've broken spars, they've broken along the edge of the label, more often than not.
  23. 13 mph is definitely pushing the upper range on those SUL/2 wraps with a full sail... Especially if you weren't in a hover the whole time. At 13 mph, I would have put those same sticks in my vented.
  24. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. Silver Fox 2.5 Vented, roughly a $160 value! You can sign up here. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/289, and will be drawn on December 1st, 2007! http://www.kitelife.com/prizes/silverfox56/index.htm Our thanks, and the very best to you... Let the drooling begin!
  25. Valerie still has all of the archival materials, we're just hosting digital copies of the Kite Lines magazine collection. You can contact her through - http://www.kitelinesbookstore.com/ Cheers!
