Not so far off really... That's one of the things I've long enjoyed about the kiting world, growing up in the community from when I started flying at 15 to my current age of 29 has been the coolest part of my life bar none.
Kites are something that somehow, some way, provide fertile ground for a social aspect I have yet to discover in in any consistent amount anywhere else... Something more mutually accepting and encouraging.
If you haven't been to a major kite event yet, take the next chance you get... And leave your six shooters at home, they won't be needed.
