  1. Mikey's (like I know the guy well enough but that's what people call him) craftsmanship is incredible! A piece of art as well. Glad I made the purchase even though as inland flyer I won't use it as much as it can take from an abuse stand point. Just do it, you'll be glad you did [emoji173]️
  2. Mine is new and waiting for enough wind to learn how to use it. Purple people eater! Sorry photo will not attach.
  3. Fantastic job all around Rob and JB. Who'd a thunk you were starting a craze. I know I love mine, fun kite to fly.
  4. What a great idea! Come on JB, Virginia is waiting too.
  5. In my limited experiences I found it depending on two variables. Consistency of the wind, kite design. I have JB, Bazzer Eyes and Shook midvents, down to 6-7 mph with consistent beach winds and each still performs well. Change to variable inland winds and 10ish or more. Tuning near neutral versus forward is also important. They are much more flexible and can be used in lower winds than we think.
  6. Mikelp3586 = heads Drdemonx = tails And the winner is...... Tails, drdemonx is the winner!!! Please message me your contact info and I will ship out to you. Enjoy flying her and congratulations.
  7. This evening is the drawing, 50/50 odds currently! If it stays like this I may have granddaughter flip a coin versus RNG.
  8. Reminder that I will pick a winner on 7/28@ 5pm. Karma is free so long as you pass some along [emoji846]
  9. New KARMA Drawing is a Skydog Thunderstruck 69.5" Dual Line Sport Kite Used a handful of times with wear on spreader patch but tip is clean. Likes big winds so its not a ultra lite by any means. pretty colors in flight. All you have to do to be entered to win is reply to the post titled **KARMA** and say “I’m in!” I’ll give it 2 weeks, and then I’ll use the RNG to choose the winner. I’ll grab the post # (in the upper right corner) from your initial post to input. Only the first post where you join will count in the drawing. I’ll post the winner and ask them to PM me a shipping address. Now here’s where the Karma comes in. IF YOU WANT TO JOIN TO WIN, YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO PAY IT FORWARD! If you are the winner of this kite, PM me a shipping address and I’ll send it to you anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Then IT”S YOUR TURN! You must start a new post with the title just like this one. **KARMA** And give something away! It can be a hat, a kite stake, a kite or anything kite related. Some winners will give small prizes, and some will give larger, but it’s all about the giving. Give away something that you would like to receive. When you do your random drawing, post the winner and ask them to PM you an address, and send out their prize! Now it’s their turn! Some rules and guidelines: Don’t play unless you’re willing to put up a prize and ship it to whoever wins. Shipping is paid by the original poster, the winner pays nothing. Be prepared to ship your prize anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Sorry, but due to shipping costs, we really have to limit this to the lower 48 US States. RULE CHANGE (7/31/2014): Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. You can choose the length of the giveaway, but keep it between 1 and 2 weeks. Try to ship the prize promptly. You should be able to ship it within a week, but if you can’t, PM the winner and let them know. Sometimes life gets in the way! This whole thing works on the honor system so if there are any problems shipping or receiving a prize, it needs to be worked out between the two parties. Don’t forget…Karma! This isn’t a competition, but feel free to be generous! If you can only put up a hat, or a tail for a stunt kite, great! If you have something in your kite bag that you never fly and would be willing to ship, that’s great too. Either way, the people that join to win it will appreciate it. When you receive your prize, post a thank you to the thread where you won it. The thread will be locked after that point so the new **KARMA** stays above it. Good luck, and have fun!
  10. Very sweet, love all the color and seem to all be stable in flight, great job!!!
  11. Thanks Gary, nice prize! I will get one up tomorrow.
  12. Thanks, wound up choosing Douglas Stout Viper (forward wing) so will see in a month or so how she flies.
  13. Once you have the lines down you will start to throw the kite and have a whole new set of knot skills to develop. It's all baby steps then suddenly you look back and laugh at all that frustration. Mostly laughing at a newbie having them [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] reality is we all been there and struggled with that till someone said "hey, try this". Sounds like you are moving forward at a good pace with expected outcomes for the skills you possess. Enjoy
  14. Very nice! Can't wait to see them "live".
  15. Any recommendations on a glider for inland flying? Looks like the Pulz is not available. Thanks!
