Done and ready for quad clinic next month. Hopefully I can build another kite before then.

Finished another one. This one is a little lighter and while essentially the same design as the last one I changed a few things. Overall dimensions are smaller, used a stiffer mesh for the pockets, 45ed the corners, the flap is a separate panel and I added a spot to clip my stake. I dig the red stitching and how the red flap looks when its rolled up. Just need to hem the webbing tails, stuff padding in the handle add make a shoulder strap.

Looking into lodging for this, where exactly will it be? Want to get a room or campste in walking distance of the spot. I'm dialed on Oregon, but have never explored this part of Washington. Already have a room booked at the Sea gypsy for the following weekend in Lincoln city for the summer fest.

Only going to use tapered rods in the verticals on one kite. Every thing else will be standard frames. I'll probably order some Px 2&3 frames in red or camo. Whatever is available. Thanks for the input. And thanks Wayne for the indoor lessons. It was nice to meet you.

Just ordered enough material for 4-6 new kites. Some will be built using Gomberg tails, others built from polymax from flymart. This question should probably Pmed to Riff but thought I'd share it. Ordered some new frames in P2X & P3x ,from "Kites and fun things" that I later found are sold out. Does one frame these in P300 - 400's, or frame them lighter. Will P-200-300's be fine. thinking about ordering 10 P100's & 10 P200S. I've done some with 3PT's as uprights and liked the results. going to go the cheap route and only run blems, as I've only had one bad one. Thoughts? DT

Dropped the deck on the table. Built it to fit the girlfriends machine. Will cut out a filler plate to fit the White machine.

Where do you get your basting tape? I can't find anything locally that sticks.

This machine has a deeper needle to base than the others. Messin around with big thread, and themed center panel.

Then I picked up this beauty. White model 8000, Made in Japan. Super smooth, pedal feed. 19.99 at a local thrift store. Start trolling the stores, this stuff is out there! Just ordered a walking foot and some bobbins for 20$.

Full vent arrived today in perfect condition. Bonus was a custom L.S. kite stake that I didn't expect, but was in the photos. Question for the masses? What is the difference between these the 2 wraps with the green stripes and the 2 wraps that came in my SUL? Green stripe rod is .2 grams heavier.

Picked up a Singer kinda "Heavy Duty 4432" for 25$ at a thrift store today. Almost grabbed a Sears Kenmore 1311 made in Japan w/ a 1.2amp motor earlier. This was to new and cheap to pass up.
