I had a set of Rev handles come loose on a particularly rainy weekend on the Oregon coast. The tape on those handles seem to be like golf club handle tape, water soluble. I'd try soaking them before trying anything drastic.

John I had this one at S.P.I.. when you guys loaned me some super glue.Think I might have another yard of this fabric. 👍

I wish I would of had more time to meet more people at SPI. I was only there for 3 days, but I'm now realizing how many connections I missed. I'm originally from Maquoketa, but now reside in Oregon. I'll be at both of the Lincoln City festivals this year.

Recent fatality at a local area reminds us to be very aware of conditions and equipment. I know this is more of a static flying community, but many dabble in the power kite world. https://centraloregondaily.com/redmond-man-killed-after-land-kiteboarding-accident-witnesses-describe-lifesaving-efforts/

Just bought a super sled and tail from him. Need to pickup some spiky balls and a spinning spiky ball. Sad to see the staples of the industry fade away.

I'll look at the wind forecast if I'm on the coast. If I'm inland I just get out of the truck and deal with it. 10-18 mph. I flew the super blast and the mesh on the same day. I need to build a few more meshes.

Congrats Roger Fontaine. I was hoping to pick this up in SPI, but i guess you get it. I already have a vented Djinn, so enjoy. It fly's in much lower winds than you think it would.

Finally finished this one. Turned out pretty good. The hexcam fabric and webbing is a little busy, probably do the next one with black webbing. Learned a few new techniques, but I still can't edge bind corners and have both sides match. Probably a patience problem.

@DTill I hope your beautiful pinstripe kite bag has gear for it. That bag was traded for a Super Blast R/W/B. That bag is now in New Hampshire, with an old competition flyer who remembers "Young John". I've built a few bags since then, will probably be bringing a standard and full vent Djinn , a homemade mesh and a set of northern lights . I should be good to go.

I might know a guy on the forum that would part with his, but there a discontinued short run kite.

High line kites of Berkeley has them listed on there never updated website. I tried to order one a year ago and they only had a purple vented, probably drop shipped. That would be a super niche kite, but a bumble bee kite in high winds 15-30. http://www.highlinekites.com/brands/Revolution-Kites.html

If you want to buy a new B-series this is the only place I've seen one. Last one I bought from them drop shipped from Rev. The night edition would be cool. http://www.awindofchange.com/product/Rev-B-Series-NIGHT.html

The B2 is a 72 inch leading edge kite. Much smaller than a 1.5 sized sail. It's the quad version of of a Prism Micron. Very fast, twitchy and fun. Not for beginners. John makes it look easy, it's not. Cool kite, not a second kite more like a 5th.

Attending Indoor Model Aircraft Events – the Setting of a Goal with a Deadline

Don't ignore the talent of some of those indoor pilots. A rolling harrier is similar to a traveling bicycle. Each are there own mini mind melt. So much going on you need to break it down 8 separate moves per rotation. Or just be able to jam on the sticks and make it look good. You have more in common with them than you think. The skills can cross over to each discipline. I have almost as many airplanes as Rev's.- 3 comments

Got the power blast in a trade. It's designed to be a power kite, people buggy and land board with them. You may underestimate my board riding skills. These are from the opening of the park in Newberg Oregon. 15 years of having a season pass at Mt. Bachelor can't hurt. It will be a challenge, but I've got kite and board skills. I'll make it work. I've been using the tape from Fly market with no problems. I was going to order some through Into the Wind because it's cheaper. Don't want to trash any vendors on here, but where did you get the problematic tape?

I tend to do the travailing bicycle as a rotate tip stab, a rotate tip stab. Then a catch and throw . I"m rank amateur. But if you tap it down with authority you look like a pro.

I love "Widows Mesh" I need to build something like it soon.

I thought it was a weird post. Anything to worry about?

You should come to Lincoln Summer Fest. Tons of friendly flyers. I've met many great people here. There's a festival south of the festival. All the people that show up for the show put on their own show. Your not that far away. SLC to PDX + a 2 hour drive.
