  1. Thanks for wrap info, not tried a Vented 2, must give one a go if I see one. Not too likely here though. Will get in touch if I come over for a holliday, maybe I can try yours???????????
  2. Hi Penny, yes dont forget the Rev 2, when John was in Blackheath I flew my old solid red Rev 2 alongside him 45+ mph winds. Did put 2 leading edges init though. Was great till I landed it a bit hard and popped the bungees through the sail. all fixed now and using it as paert of a 3 stack.
  3. Not sure Derek, I have a vry old standard Rev 1 and have flown it in winds I would think were up to 20mph and gusting, at least enough to take me off balance quite a few times. Not quite sure what the standard wrap is for a Rev 1 as my frame is so old as to not have markings. Going by my EXP which is also not marked I would think the standard MIGHT be 3 wrap as I THINK that is what is in the EXP, obviously I stand to be corrected on this. If indeed it is a 3 wrap SLE dont forget that is a half inch rod and is considerably stiffer, I would not be suprised if it would not be OK to 25 and possibly above. however a Rev 1 has quite a large sail area and it might be too much pressure on the frame at that speed. I am sure someone will know rather than think!!!!!!!
  4. Hi Kent, In case Hyper is slower than me, have a look at post 11 on this thread, you will see there is allready a picture of his kite. Regards, Chris.
  5. Usefull chart. Looks pretty comprehensive to me. Once the spar info is in as well will be REALLY usefull. Now I just need a wind meter!! And have to guestimate the gusts as well.
  6. Dont tie him up too tight. Looks like I am working that weekend anyway. Will have to see what I can do.
  7. Sorry to hear that you cant make it John. When is the event. With any luck I can still book a day off although I am fairly busy over the next few months.
  8. You keep posting that picture Dorsal, I think it looks FANTASTIC.
  9. Well done Tim, would say you lucky devil, however with my good luck in the Sea Devil draw I think I should maybe go buy a lottery ticket. Thinking about it maybe you should too.
  10. Not flown a Spirit, you will LOVE it if it is anything like as much fun as a Rev. Welcome to the dark side!!!!!!!!!!
  11. ROFL Now you can all see that Baloo really is a BIG CUDDLY BEAR. Thanks John. Just GOT to put the one of Lam up now 8-) That wind was definatly WILD, you were true to your promise, no matter WHAT the weather, well worth the 6 hour round trip to say Hi.
  12. No Ant, think it is just OJ and lemonade. I think we were all a bit tipsy from the wind. You should have seen the foul stuff I was drinking!!!!!!!!! Missed out on the dodgy food, the chips were OK though.
  13. I just now been looking at the pictures from Blackheath. Just GOT to post this one. Think I have one of Lam too, somewhere I am sure. Of course for a suitable fee I can loose it, or post it if i am offered enough.
  14. Me too. Was a shame about that hail storm. Still I had to get off home. Made me smile the way those 2 line Deltas were dragging folk around. Did you go out again after I left? I know it was difficult to stand up at times. Great fun.
  15. Dont know how fast the gusts were at Blackheath Ant but must have been getting there. And dont forget John is good .........REAL GOOD

    Kite Lines

Glad to hear you are sorted Outsynk, let us know how you get on once you hae the kite and lines.
  18. Sorry Derek, thought you said you had a B on the way. Must have been somone else. Like the new 1 as well. hope they fly as good as they look. I need to repair my Rev 1 B4 I mess it up all together. Got a rip in the leading edge mesh.
  19. Not had chance to check the change out yet. Will try to have suitable "adjusters" so I can play with the line lengths. Hope to get it sorted B4 2 years Chris. Still we have the same name and my chances at flying are few, might well take that long.
  20. Forgot to ask on the Rev forum, have you got your B yet Derek?
  21. Thanks again. No chance of anyone else flying my stack. Not because I wont let them, just no one else flying near me that I know of. Going to try shortening the brakes on the rear when I get a chance.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Hope Rev put some pictures on thier site. Would love to see the group of sisters.
  23. Thanks for the advice Kent. Will let you know how I get on. Wow a 8 stack of 1.5's, I was only in a fairly light wind and had to step forwards a few times with a 3 stack of Rev2's. Your stack must pull like a train. I REALLY like the looks of the progressive stack from Rev, did think about making a 2, EXP, 1 stack myself. If you get a chance Jenn you try it. Good fun and I only had about an hour to fly. It looks fantastic in the air. You need to stand aside to see it best. I just need someone else interested to take the lines so I can watch. Shame you are so far away. Hopefully will be even better when I get the tuning right.
  24. NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA course you wouldnt.
  25. Looks like the same one to me, same colours so MUST be the same kite. Just jumping around a bit quickly, so quick it looks like more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You wouldnt be daft enough to get more than one the same colour now would you?????????????
