    Seagull

Just picked myself up off the floor. Good find Grandad. Only in Scotland you see. You wouldnt have an English Seagull doing things like that. I am a bit worried that you dont see Sam opening the packet. Maybe it is a traind Seagull and there is an accomplice eating most of the Doritos then throwing some on the floor so that it looks like the Gull has done it. I wonder if it has been reported to the Police. I have heard of Cat Burglers but not Bird Burglers.

Never thought you NEEDED a GOOD reason to start a thread. I think waiting for a new kite is a better reason to start one than a lot of other ones I have seen. If I have no interest in a thread I just done follow it. Hope it arrives soon. I have allways got on well with Theresa although I have never spoken to her.
  3. It is an exellent DVD if anyone is thinking of buying one. If it is not included with the kite it is worth the extra money. Only one problem though. no matter how many times I watch it with my kite beside me of course. My kite seems not to pick the information up. I know, practice, practice, practice.
  4. OK, sounds fun. how about Dec 15th, 7.35am. Hope all go's well for you. if you need any help give me a call. I have delivered 22 so far!! Not concieved any though. As you say, one thing is for sure, baby will arrive when it is good and ready. Good luck to all.

    STOLEN KITES

I am SO sorry to hear about this. There is nothing I feel I can say to make you feel better. I wish I was with you so I could give you a hug as you give so many out to others. I hope you get them back in good shape. Regards, and hugs. Chris.
  6. Goodness Derek, first time I have seen the US UK sail. Looks fantastic.
  7. Nice one, or actually more than one Bruce. Hopefully we will get to the same festival and meet up again soon. Regards, Chris.
  8. Not got or tried any of the others but I do have a Sea Devil. Not much good with it but it is good with me if you can see what I mean. I LOVE that kite. You really wont go wrong with one. To top it off Lam is a fantastic chap and is very enthusiastic and helpfull. He will help you fly it if he gets a chance. Get in touch with Lam. Tell hin Baloo sent you. You wont get any discount but it will put a smile on his face. I am SO lucky as I won mine in a raffle.
  9. I have one with a rubber duck on it (Thanks Bob) And one with a pool ball. I presume you know how to make tham. Pool ball, drill, suitable stake, glue. Dont know about getting the decals though.
  10. Hope you get more time with your B today. As Penny says 120 are possibly not the best first time out. You dont NEED 120's unless you want to team fly. What you NEED are the right length lines for you. In a brisk wind the 150's will be fine. The lines MUST fit in your flying area obviously. Longer lines WILL give you a bigger window. Lets face it ANY length lines will give you FUN++++++++++++++ I have just bought some bulk 150 and 90 (couldnt get LPG unfortunatly), guess what I am going to be doing!!
  11. Hi Stephen. I am enjoying my Bai also. I am still at the stage where I am swinging it round my head and have a sore shoulder. Getting the hang of what it is doing more though. Mat, the guy I bought the Red one for is also having fun with his. Thanks. Chris.
  12. Penny you are an expert on perty. Some of the videos I have seen of you, you REALY do some perty things. And so much fun too. Longer lines, yep slow things down. also heavier lines slow things down some more. Best thing about them BIGGER wind window. So from top to bottom of window or tother way round you can do more turns and tricks B4 you hit the ground. Same for side to side. If you can fly backwards from one side to the other on 120 foot lines you are starting to get the hang of it. And that dive stop with the height you can get wil get some looks. As long as you stop B4 you hit the ground of course. Not always according to plan on that one with me yet.
  13. I am by NO means what I would call an experienced flyer. However this situation happens to me. I think you might be applying too much brake. Letting the wind "catch" the back of the kite thus flipping it forward. Either by the way your lines are adjusted of by the fact that they are not equal in length. This is actually the start of a flik flack I believe, however only one wing is flicking thus sometimes ending in a spin. I mostly happens to me when I am applying the brakes quickly (in a bit of a panic as something might not be happening that I want to happen) and the wing just flips over. I mostly fly in gusty wind and that seems to make the situation worse. As for flying bacwards, OK I can sort of do that. Inverted hover though, black art or what!!! Only one answer, practice, practice, practice. Then more practice. For example. Imagine how much practice JB has put in to get where he is. Then just think how much practice he needs to keep where he is!!!! Yuo will LOVE the B when it arrives. Let us know how you get on.
  14. You lucky monkey. Looks fantastic. Nice stack as well.
  15. I waited over 5 weeks for mine (postage problem from USA to UK). Sods law saying they arrived 2 days after after JB was in country and I drove 3 hours each way to go meet him in a howling gale. Yep the waiting will be bad. Looking back on it they seem like the longest weeks in my life. Oh yea, the purple, good choice. I saw a picture of a purple vapour. Might have been yours. Beutifull kite, can see why it is called a vapour, just not a Rev.
  16. I have a Blue in B and Bv. You will have to make your own mind up about the colour. You won't regret getting a B though. Let us know how you get on with it.
  17. How about something like an aeroplane shape with wings, tail and props. Vertical Kite for tail, horizontal for wing and a couple of spinning ones for the props. You could think about having a bit of a competition wih the children in the crowd to count the shapes you make or try to name the shapes in the routine. Like they might call the follow a snake. A simple prise could be a Rev lesson.
  18. I would have thought a B series was worth a good beating. Kites are more important then phones. Go on be a man, make sure you get your priorities right. Buy her a phone as soon as possible for goodness sake. Then you can get a B!!

    First time out

Hey Dave, wish I was thet good my first time out. You look like you are getting it worked out OK for yourself.
  20. Where were you Bruce?? I was worried the Rev would split when it was rubbing on the line. Shows how strong it is. Good Vid.
  21. Think we might have a new kite competition here. See how far you can throw it when you are REALLY annoyed that the new trick wont work.
  22. Bad news John. I was trying to hook up with Lam for the London event but he didnt go oin the end. FANTASTIC event to be associated with. Hope the others work out OK.
  23. So thats how you are going to get him into buggying then Ant. Good plan.
  24. Think I like the bottom two the best. All 4 are wonderfull though. Would like to see them with light streaming through them.
  25. Have seen them for sale, often wondered what they were like to fly. My first Quad was a HQ Hypnotic. SOOOOO quick. Glad I gave up and got a Rev. Hang on just went and had a look, it is a M Quad. Twitchy little devil. Might take it on holliday with me now that I am more used to quads and give it another go.
