  1. I have several SLK's for sale. Ultrafoil 15 (SOLD) - Rocky Mountain Delta Conyne (SOLD) - Vertical Visuals Malay (SOLD) I'm clearing out the old SLK (single line kite) bag, of a few items that I don't seem to ever get around to using or flying. The Ultrafoil 15, and the Rocky Mountain Delta Conyne, has been flown only once, less than 15 minutes each. The Malay diamond, has never been flown, although I did put it together, just to take a look (BTW, it looks great). I also have a brand new, Gomberg large sand anchor, with Carabiner, to go along with the Ultrafoil15. All items come from ITW (Into the Wind), and can be looked up online, should you be interested, so I won't bore you with all the details and technical descriptions here. Total cost was $295. I will take $225 for everything, plus whatever it cost to ship to your location. I will ship all items just as inexpensively as I can, via USPS Priority Mail, or just as fast as you want to pay for. Thanks for looking............
  2. Hey Nick - it didn't work NOT using it either!!! Damned if you do, damned if you don't!! CRUEL RNG!!!! Well, I'm pulling for you Wayne................like you really need another Rev
  3. Hey Wayne, it never worked before now did it ?
  4. "short & sweet, but it's me to beat" PICK NICK I know, I know I'm a poet, and don't know it !
  5. Kinda like finding an old Prism Vapor, in "pristine" condition !
  6. Hey Rob, That's a real score. Did you get it direct from JT or from the original owner ? Just curious.....
  7. Very Nice, Rob..........
  8. I got three B2's and a Rev II, and all the bridles seem to be the same as my 1.5's ?? Oh, I never had a lark's head to fail. I would bet you just didn't have it completely behind the knot, or didn't cinch it up snug, before take-off. That's a pretty reliable method, for attaching your lines to the bridle. The harder it gets pulled, the tighter it gets.
  9. Chuck......great write-up! Thanks for sharing your journey in kiting. Alaska, eh ? Great ! Oh, welcome to Kitelife , and for sure, welcome over to the "Dark Side"..........
  10. Yeah, they look really good on your Rev........ (looks a bit hazy out over the ocean, too)
  11. "What is the science of wind direction?" hmmm Guess the OP's question was posted in the wrong forum. ? Again, I thought this was about kites and having fun ?
  12. I thought this was about kites (as in fun stuff) "ditto" on the.........."Refer to post #2 as often as necessary"
  13. Well Rob, that's really cool. I hadn't seen that. Just Google'd, and read about it. So you're right, we may be in luck...............
  14. Yep, Tilley has it going on, for sure !
  15. A SUPERSONIC ! OH, now that you mention that, I've got to get my new SuperSonic into the air. Had it since March, and haven't flown it yet........... I know, I know...........that's terrible (my bad)
  16. Well, I'm headed to the coast next week, and I'd like to think that I could turn this dude around, and make it do right, but it "ain't" going to happen. It's July, it's Summer, it's hot as heck, and the wind is going to be blowing from the land, out towards the ocean. Crappy flying winds, at best, but as Rob mentioned, better that nothing. Works great for sitting on the beach, sipping a cool one, and watching SLK's
  17. Gotta go with Rob on this one............. CB, it may be like that in theory (and even in Georgia), but on the North Carolina coast (the Outer Banks), the prevailing winds in the summer are out of the Southwest (blowing from the hot land to the water), and in the winter, they are out of the Northeast (blowing from the cold water to land). Now there are days here and there, that this may not be 100% true, due to other weather related factors, but overall, that's how it is, no matter what's warming or what's cooling. And no, I'm not a weatherman, or meteorologist, but as a rule of thumb, during the hot summer months, beach flying "S _ C K S" here in NC, because the wind is coming off of the land, bouncing over the cottages & dunes, and everything else, so it's bumpy. When it reverses, for whatever reason, and comes off of the water, it's smooth as a baby's butt........... Just thought I'd check that out, right now, so here's the current "skinny", from Nags Head, NC, via the Weather Channel !
  18. I can't seem to find any bulk line, of any kind, at High Line Kites, only ready made sets ? Got a link to the page with bulk line ?
  19. The color is the part, that gets my interest up, concerning Skybond. I have a terrible time seeing the "white" LPG lines, both on the beach sand, as well as inland. I still have a few sets of Berry Blue es/55 (light blue), and one of the older Berry Blue (darker blue) sets, AND, with all of the LPG sets that I have now, it seems that I always go for the older BB sets, just for the color and the added visibility. I bet that yellow Skybond would be just great............ I've got to try some, the next time I need lines, and then I can see it coming. I'll be changing out everything to Skybond yellow. Glad to hear all the positive reviews ! (sorry JB, I know you don't approve of BB, but I'm flying alone, 99% of the time, so no problems here)
  20. You must be catching some mighty "skinny" fish, there Mark !
  21. I'm in..............just kidding !
  22. Congrats Ralph. What a win, and just in time for retirement ! I can't think of a nicer guy, for the win !
  23. Heck, JB probably doesn't even know what day it is ! I think he's pretty much winging it (no pun intended), about now !
