  1. Nope - Pete, I think it's posted where you posted it. This isn't the "Current Drawing" topic, I don't think. No, this is the "Who Changed my Kitelife Site ???", topic......... and I still want my "Spell Checker" back !!! Also, my "Notification Preferences", aren't working either ??? I think we need a bit more tweeking
  2. Photomom - Are you kidding ? Really, seriously, you DO NOT own a rev ??
  3. Hey Photomom, Just to show you, that I haven't been pulling your chain, you can have my number [ 590 ], for this next drawing. JB, if #590 wins >>>> Send it to "Photomom"....................with pleasure! I want her to have a Rev !!!
  4. It also appears that we lost the names of our friends. Only the avatar, or photo, or a blank avatar, shows up, when you look through your friends. I think we need the names with them. Again, IMHO. Update on that........the friends shown on the "Manage Friends" page, are NOT the same, as the friends that you see, when you access your "Profile Page"...........??? Seems like they should agree ? Hate to keep "nit-picking", but you did ask for "feedback"..............
  5. John, It appears that the Profile Photos "ARE", still there. Check your profile. It just needs to be square and of a certain size. Not sure about that, but I couldn't get a 250 x 250 to show, but once I exceeded 300 x 300, the profile photo showed up. Please bring back the "Spell Checker", if possible........... ps..... I think you could drop the default font on size. Mine seems to be on 14. IMHO, I think 12 is ample, don't you ???
  6. Yep, this thing did have a "spell checker"...............HELP ! John, please bring back the "SPELL CHECKER" PLEASE !
  7. Looks like Avatar & Profile Photo, now have to be the same, but I think there are some size requirements, for your profile photo to appear (?) Still a bit confused as to what's going on, because John said that the profile photos were gone (?), Not sure about that, because mine is there, his is there, and when I check other people's profiles, their's are there, likewise.............. Magic, I suppose, or maybe Voodoo ? Didn't this forum have a "Spell Checker", before ??? I really need that................
  8. It's showing 844................but that number is NO good, anyway !
  9. No major problems, yet ! Hey, Pete sure looks better ! Appears that my signature is missing ??? Opps, no, it's still there ?
  10. 812, 812, 812, 812, 812, and to think, John almost drew it, yesterday !
  11. NOPE ! Not hardly....................
  12. 812.....812.....812.....812.....812 !!!
  13. FAST, FAST, FAST is right..............I could have used a vented model yesterday, but the full sail (black race rods) did just great. It never felt like it was under any great strain, but it was FAST !! Still, I think when you get up to 15 - 20 mph, vented would make it much more controllable Still hot as Heck, here...........sweltering, and today.................suppose to be 10 to 20 mph SSW, but in reality, it's 0 - 1/2, out of ? Basically, NOT TO GOOD
  14. Well, at least I got to fly the new B2 (maiden voyage), up on Jockey's Ridge, early this morning. The only way, was to go up around 7 AM. By 9 AM, I had to abandon the hill. Just so unbelievably HOT !! Otherwise, the flight went well. Had winds in the 15 mph+ range, so the B2 was really zipping around.......... But it's still just so HOT , and not much relief in sight !
  15. You need to stand in the water up to your waist & fly... It's killer hot up here in NY, too. Too hot to fly kites yesterday, too hot to be outside ! Keep cool & enjoy your time at the beach ! ~Rob. Thanks Rob, Unfortunately, the beach is somewhat narrow, plenty room to fly, but the wind needs to be off the ocean, or out of some direction, with an E (east) in it. As you might guess, it's coming straight off of the land (SSW to SW to W), so the air is quite disturbed, coming over the dune line, and the rows of cottages. You actually need to be out in the ocean a couple of hundred yards, for the winds to smooth out. We are really hoping for a switch in the winds, sometime this week. As for now, nothing else to do, but clime up on top of the big dune (Jockey's Ridge). The air is clean up there, not matter what direction it's blowing, only problem right now, it's so hot, and you just can't stand it, but for a short while..................Hey, but somebody's got to do it.........
  16. I was wrong, it's HOTTER !! It's unbearable !!
  17. Ok, it's been over a 100F all day. It's now 9:20 PM, and it has dropped to 96F. I just finished packing the truck (partially), and took a shower. I'll try to finish packing in the morning, around 6 - 7 AM. This is going to be one heck of a week at the coast. Should be well over 90F, all week, and very little wind off of the ocean.....YUK ! Will report later.............I never thought I would be looking forward to winter, well, maybe fall ! and I've got two "unflown" Revs to try........
  18. Hey thanks Tom ! That was kool ! Now if we could only get Pete's contribution I know it's hot, but who else has a 100'+, underground tunnel, to work in
  19. I too fly with straps, always (unless I'm flying my Rev). Unless the wind is really cooking, I usually fly with my straps on just one or two fingers, and as Kent said, I like the two finger straps, and use them quite often. Whichever you use, make sure they are soft..............the stiff straps will cut into your hand eventually, and as Pete mentioned, you'll need to keep moving them around............... (don't be worried about making your own, my favorite set is homemade) Oh, and I think Pete is really into Power Kites...............I was referring to standard dual line stunt kites 1
