I know the attachments aren't quite serving the purpose you all are speaking about, but they may help in memorizing terminology. JST-4-FN-team-standaard-English-1.000.pdf Revolution-Mega-Fly-Figures-v1d.pdf

Rick, Check out Kites In The Sky. They have kite kits which might be good as you can get a boat load cheap. You can also have the folks in your organization decorate them!. Most of the kites are 5mph+, however there are two that are listed at 3+: The Butterfly and ZiggZaggy https://kitekits.com/collections/intermediate-kite-kits I believe the person who's company this is is a KiteLife member, I don't remember who it is.

Great Karma goodies E!

This is possibly a very timely prize. I was looking for a particular B2 that none of the numerous stores I spoke with had. I called Rev to see if they had one. With all the changes with Rev's line-up over the past 6 months I asked about the future of the B2 . She said the B2's future will be discussed in a meeting this month. The B2 might not be around too much longer.

I just PMd you the tracking number Elmo. Enjoy the line set. You are up. you are in the Karma Drawing Commander's Chair now!

@elmo264, you are the winner!!!! Please PM me your address and which of the two items is of your choosing. Congratulations Elmo

Very good, we have four in. Be back in a few after I hit up random.org!

Yes, of course there are vultures out there. However I don't believe the community here at Kitelife has that environment. It appears Roxy is new here so she may not be aware of this. If she posts pics of the kites and views the replies before responding to possible pm/messages of interested people, it would be highly unlikely for her to get a deal going with a vulture. To uncloud all the replies Roxy and make things simpler for you, post the pics. The people here would me more than willing to help and then you could decide how much to offer the kites for.

Awwww man, great odds as of this point! A week to go. The drawing will be in the evening.

Thanks again to @drdemonx for the incredible Karma prize of the Supersonic. My Karma offering is your choice of one of the two following items: 1. An unopened spool of 50 pound 300 yards of Laser Pro Gold with an unopened Shanti sleeving kit: called a "Spleever " 2. The unopened line kit from a B2. It included handles, 90 pound 80 feet Laser Pro Gold quad lineset, and a Rev Kites B-Series DVD3. - The handles are 11.5 inches with the tape measure conforming to the shape of the handles, and they are 10 inches tip to tip in a straight line. I am also opening this drawing to the entire earth. If it's okay with @bbailey49, the Karma moderator, I will handle shipping to Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska. If you are outside those three locations and CONUS of course, we will split the shipping and you handle all the other mess if your location has it; like the VAT or whatever. Are you in? "In"ners: 1. @elmo264 2. @ACrop 3. @Mike Klaiber 4. @RobB Standard Karma Note from the Moderators This is a Karma Drawing. The winner of the drawing is expected to pay it forward by offering their own prize for the next drawing. Please do not enter unless you are willing to offer your own prize, preferably not the prize you just won. Drawings should be open for entry approximately 2 weeks, and the next drawing should be posted as soon as possible to keep the Karma rolling. These drawings are run by and for KiteLife forum members and DO NOT require a paid subscription to enter. The moderating team only ensures that your drawing post contains all of the pertinent information (drawing date/time, adequate prize description, drawing rules) before approval. If you are a KiteLife forum member from the US or Canada, you are eligible to enter. You do not have to be a paid subscriber. Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. Here is the link to the original Rules and Guidelines thread: http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5426-rules-and-guidelines-please-read/ The mechanism for the drawing itself is entirely at the discretion of the person offering the prize. In the past, entry number has been determined either by order of entry or by the post number in which the member declares entry into the drawing. The drawings have been performed using the RNG method (http://www.random.org/sequences/) or by choosing the numbers out of a hat (I believe an adorable daughter did the picking in that scenario). The only requirement is that the method of selection is clearly spelled out in the drawing post. Entry into the drawings is done by STARTING a post in the drawing thread with the entry phrase chosen by the drawing host (Traditionally "I'm in", but "I LIKE" has been used as well). In order to remove any confusion or misinterpretation, only entries with posts that START with the phrase will be considered. As with all other KiteLife drawings, bantering is encouraged. This is for fun after all.

WOW, how incredibly great. Thank you so much drdemonx! The Supersonic please. I'll PM you my address. Mark, thanks for the info. I do have a Shockwave and am familiar with the Speed Series. It was actually my first full size Rev.

They are both from Rev's "Speed" series. The Shockwave is designed for power and speed. Clocked at over 70mph. The Supersonic is pretty much the same as the Shockwave with less pull and a b it more nimble; per Rev's info. I've never flown a Supersonic, but my Shockwave has some decent pull in a decent wind. The pull isn't ridiculous. I'm in.

Nice site. In the schedule section it has the West Palm clinic you mentioned to me as a "possible" in an e-mail. Is that officially a go?- 3 replies

The key is to stay ahead of the game. Once you get dehydrated it takes time for your body to re-equalize itself. It's not just as simple for your dehydrated body to a bunch of water and be okay in 5 minutes, it takes quite a while for your body to get everything straightened back out. If you get heat exhaustion, you'll probably be laid out for a day or three. There's info out there saying you can over hydrate. This is kind of true as well as untrue. You cannot drink too much water, but you need to keep your electrolytes in balance. Drinking a lot of water throws the electrolyte level out of balance. That is where drinking too much water causes problems. To keep your electrolyte levels in balance, drink Gatorade, coconut water, or nutritional/protein shakes. Maybe a 4 or 5 to 1 ration of water to electrolyte. You don't need to be in the heat all day to get heat exhaustion or heat stroke. A couple hours will do it. You also won't necessarily feel thirsty even if you are dehydrated. A good check for hydration is urine color. A few things can throw that off though. If you take vitamins, especially B vitamins, your urine will be kind of neon yellow. Hyperglycemia will have your urine be clear. I'm sure there are other things that will make the chart below not quite right for some, but for most people it's a good reference. As mentioned earlier, heat exhaustion sucks... heat stroke is no frikken joke. Life changing consequences/effects. Be careful out there.

Sweet, 8, you gonna fly them all at once from the get go? You asked about handles and lines, don't forget to take into consideration the first kite's spars. I have 5 B2s, gonna add a sixth, vented for the front. Read through this, a boatload of stacking info. http://www.revkites.net/forum/topic/104-seeking-advice-on-how-to-stack-revs/

I've never seen a site with info presented like this. It's real time with no forecast, but the wind info is very cool. Another benefit of this is that in the other weather sites I've been to you only get info from specific weather station locations. This map is all encompassing. If you click "wind" on the left side then mouse over the map, it'll give you the speed. http://www.ventusky.com/?p=45.506;-122.695;4&l=wind&t=20160714/21 {ADD} You can get future info by changing the date on the lower left.
-
Go to your profile; you can get their by clicking on your username in the very upper right of the web page you are reading right now. Go to the map on the lower left side and click on the words "Member Map" above the map. When that larger map opens click "My location" and enter your info.

John, seems Mapquest has stopped some functionality of tiling, whatever that means. Here's a forum post about it: https://developer.mapquest.com/forum/mapquest-open-tiles-key

Hi Philippe, You do it through your profile setting. However, it seems Mapquest has done something to as of today that is making the map function not work. I'll let John/Admin know. Welcome aboard!
