  1. Sent in my small and humble offering the other day!! Hope it all helps in keeping things alive and going forwards!!
  2. Officially, he is an "obliviot"! Doesn't make the lines good again, sorry!
  3. That means trouble!!! Maybe I can get a head start and paddle over there in time for their clinic?? Now if I can only hit Hawaii on the way??
  4. Canadian, North Carolina, blah blah blah!!! Needs to be my turn!!
  5. A fully paid trip to Maui............(ticket's in the mail) That will get me part way there!! PS: Is it only one way?

Sounds like you'll be "outed" soon enough!! Get your better half involved - solves trying to hide any new stuff from being "discovered"!
  7. The social aspect is part of it, for sure!! Most of us Revheads have something for just about any wind condition, so we use them for just about everything! Sorta like how you build an arsenal of dualies for different winds!! I find light winds are the most challenging, that's when some of the feel I developed as a dualie flier, carries over!! So too, does some indoor touch!! I don't remember the distance thing (I haven't been back there for 25 years), but are you close enough to fly with the Jersey crew? They have regular flies on the Jersey beaches, maybe get in touch with some of them!! Easiest on the Rev forum, just post a question!!
  8. It's a different experience, flying those Revs from dualies!! Completely different style of flying!! I was a solo flier by choice ( I was afraid that my stroke would limit me and cause a tangle for anyone around me)!! So I worked on stuff that was weak (especially anything leading edge right) and eventually got my weak side almost as strong as my "good" side!! Then people (and they know who they are) started to push me into flying around others! That's when I discovered how much fun it was to fly with others!! Putting on some good tunes and zoning out to it, flying what you want, when you want, it's all good! But if you EVER get the chance to fly in a group - YEEHAW!!!! PS: Don't tell the Rev police, but I still fly a dualie once in a while, just to remember what got me into this way back when!! PSS: Jynx - I'm still waiting for my "cookie"!! HAHA!! PSSS: Hey Nick - What did I win for being the first to Guess? HUH?
  9. I'll guess - photomom!!! Could it be true??
  10. With the nature of the RNG undetermined, it can't be pleasant being around any "bodily" excretion!
  11. 837 ?? Closer, but no cigar!! Enjoy it well, Joe!! Pix ??
  12. Shouldn't that mean it comes out the other end?? Glad I'm not there to find out!!
  13. Is that all you got to say about this??
  14. The RNG is no respecter of place of birth, that I know!!
  15. Try adding another shoulder strap to it and you can carry it like a backpack!! Leaves both hands free to carry things!! The second strap balances the bag out so you don't have to put it over your head and across your back!!
  16. By the way, it's time to "influence" the RNG: Might work this time!!
  17. The only "red" you guys are gonna get, is a red face when someone else wins this!! HAHA!!!
  18. Get take-offs and landings as smooth and balanced as possible! 5' up, stop, land!! Do it 5 times in a row with the tips coming down together, then go 10' up! Do it again til 5 in a row, then higher still!! Feel the kite, feel the handles in your hands, sense how they work together! Once you've got good control of take-off and landing, go on to turns, spins, and even reverse flight! Sounds a bit boring, but getting the basics down cold will give you a much sounder foundation to build on later!! PS: Don't forget to breathe and smile!!
  19. Yep, Rob has it right, If you ate going to crash - let it!! Learn to move at the kite, your natural instinct is to pull - BAD! It just drives the kite into the ground even harder, risking breakage! Smile and breathe!! Might want to add some longer leaders to those SLE handles, there's a lot of info on the Rev forum about this!! Good luck!!
  20. An easy field fix is to tie the bungee cords together, but getting the washers is cheap!! Less than a buck for 10 at any good hardware store!! Keep some in your repair kit for fast fixes!!
  21. Can he resist the power of the "Darkside"?
  22. Very quietly saying "Thank You" !!
  23. Congrats Mitch!! Fly it well!! PS: it ain't no glider!!!
  24. WAH, wah, wah!!! Crying in my soda!! (Sorry, not beer!) Begging and wheeling/dealing!! Nothing will affect the choice of the RNG, that I can tell!! But it doesn't hurt to try!!!!!!
  25. Congrats Robin!! Indeed, pix please!!
