  1. I found the same as@makatakam The wear was from rubbing on the shoulder of the wall plug. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  2. Excellent news. Now breathe and enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  3. Welcome. Or should that be "G'day"... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  4. G'day and welcome. By Fade Launch, do you mean on back nose into the wind and rise, or on belly nose away and POP into a Fade? When I tried my Gemini, pop to a fade, thing just leaped into the air. Much higher than my others!
  5. I'd be assuming they would be Revolution spas. But Baz or Jayne would be best to ask. Even the Shooks or Mark VDC. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  6. Here's a screen grab of the pdf from the appropriate FB page. Sorry if the resolution isn't readable. Not too sure of the Skyshark vs Rev rods comparison. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  7. One of the tips I got from @Dodd Gross was to walk forward when in the centre and back when at the edges. This helps moderate sail pressure. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  8. Speed can be trimmed with nose back bridle setting. Hover (stall) is achievable walking forward and such. A bigger kite would be slower. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  9. General rule, yes. But there would be circumstances. A bigger wing can get even bigger the shorter lines you use but it will have a wider usable wind range. A 7 foot wing is great on 30 footers. However I use my UL rather than the Standard. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app Edit: Thinking, what type of 7 footer and 8 footer? With respect to freestyle a 7 footer would be better BUT an 8 foot poly kite will still be tricky but the rotations and roll ups will require more attention to height above the ground.
  10. Kick arse! This is gooooooood! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  11. Congrats! The Jammin is a very capable kite. Tough too. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  12. I'm big on flying in what you are comfortable in. But a lot of the time for me, the wind and my free time don't get the memo... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  13. 1467816149.150813.jpg] FYI, the QR reader works a treat. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  14. Yep, you're right. Sorry I read a bit to hastily. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  15. Stock leaders are OK for bottoms. Too short for top. The JB leaders are about 3 times longer for the tops. I got 3 sets, or 4 can't remember... The knots are spot on equal spacings. I won't tie my own anymore. Worth the investment. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  16. Classic!!! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  17. Had a fly on Jan 1st and it was BLOWIN'! In the high 60's km/h with gusts into the high 70's. I had my PoloVTD still with the 3 frame out on 120's. Glorious!! Wind energy was large to say the least. Biggest I've flown. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  18. Did you want a roll up type or a duffle bag type? A roll up type gives great access once rolled out. Also gives a flat area to work on, sort of. Take up more room because of the extra fabric. A duffle type is more compact and leaves a smaller footprint. May be a little tedious to access kites inside if the zip doesn't open fully. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  19. Still hanging in.... If you're on the edge of subscribing, still time before the drawing. Hop to it!!! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  20. Very cool, unless he bit it! I've had magpies swoop and get very aggressive with my rev 2 stack but NONE of my other kites. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  21. Just a heads up, Kitelife has its own dedicated app. It is similar to the Tapatalk app in operation. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  22. Not nervous at all. I've lawn darted it before... Holes can be patched. Sticks can be replaced. And it was the easiest to grab at the time. Even my Rasta Jammin is capable of more than me at the moment but the Sevens are just really nice to fly.
  23. I have my Rasta in long mode with 50 feet on. I have a 30 set in the bag.... just in case. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  24. One day bro, one day... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  25. Definitely very capable of modern tricks!! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
